KISS ( keep it simple stupid) has to have been the designer’s main thought in mind. We had an air fryer with all the bells and whistles, which we never used, and well, the more you got the greater the chance something will go wrong, and it did. My son had one of these and had been using it much longer than ours that pooped out. It had all we needed, a timer ( would be nice if was for an hour instead of 30 minutes) and a thermostat, what else do you really need! This air fryer is awesome! It works great, easy to use, temperature on top but I leave on 400. Large basket, we hardly ever use deep frying grease in a frying pan any longer. Two complaints though...First it's very difficult if not impossible to clean! Not talking about the basket either. This is the second that I bought because the first collected grease inside (we didn't clean it out after every use, so partly our fault), and it started emitting smoke when we used it. When I contact the company about how to take it apart to clean it, they responded to send it to them to fix. Why? I should be able to take a few screws out and clean the internal components myself. So I ended up getting this second one. After about 8 months, the plastic safety cover on the handle that keeps someone from accidentally pressing and disconnecting the basket from the body broke off. Now after 13 months owning it, I accidentally hit that button and the body (the black you see) dropped on the floor leaving me holding the basket. When it hit the floor, it cracked the plastic and bent the front. Though amazon sells replacement basket parts, I don't need that, I need the outer body part. Wanting to see if they sell just the outer body part since the fryer itself and the basket are still in perfect condition, their company says send them an email...waiting 3 days, nothing...send another email bounce undeliverable...send another email bounced, undeliverable...send 4 emails 3 different days, undeliverable, as if they are blocking my email address... Other than impossible to clean and no customer support over email as promised, this is a great air fryer. ... show more

basically use microwave to heat liquids, everything else we use the air fryer. Not sold on doing steaks yet but everything else is awesome fast and easy to clean us. can't beat it for $100 and its well made and looks great on the counter

I have a nice fryer but I have to hit the buttons so much to adjust temp and time. This one is one dial for temp, one for time. Sooo much easier and faster. Also, I wasn’t expecting it to be quieter but it makes half the noise of my other. Plenty big as well.

Overall I like it. The downfall is I noticed screws inside are inevitably rusting. I don’t soak it but I keep clean and dry, however, there are two screws that are starting to rust. We’ve used it maybe ten times. Other than that it’s easy to use and works well.

I’m hard-core in love with this machine! I’ve had it since December 2019, so five and a half months at the time of writing this review. It’s still going strong even after lots of pandemic-related usage. I live at high altitude where ovens take way longer to preheat. This machine takes three minutes to preheat (always optional, but it’s not bad at all to wait for), and items cook on average half the time the product descriptions recommend, sometimes plus one minute. I could wait ten minutes for my oven to preheat and cook taquitos for twelve minutes, or I could have them perfectly cooked, from cold machine to finished food, in nine minutes. I have barely scratched the surface of the possibilities with this machine, but I’ve cooked mainly nuggets, taquitos, pierogies, and tater tots in it. I’ve also made croissants (cook in three minutes), reheated Subway sandwiches (two or three minutes with crispy bread instead of soggy, angry-hot microwaved bread), toasted hoagie buns PERFECTLY for French dip sandwiches (three minutes, no preheating), and cooked chicken Parmesan (can’t remember the cooking time, but it was about 2/3 the recipe time), and reheated restaurant onion rings (those needed two minutes with no preheating, and I over-did them a little). I can cook a Totino’s Party Pizza, half at a time, for five minutes per half, from frozen. Slices of leftover pizza from a restaurant also reheat in a couple minutes. It’s the most convenient thing in the world to be able to simply twist a dial and have crispy-hot food in a flash. I tried bacon once and did not love the results. I NEVER have to add oil for cooking. The fat that’s already in the food comes out and lubricates enough. Directions do say to never use aerosol nonstick spray, so you should invest in an oil squirter if you think you’ll need it. You can also wipe oil around the interior with a paper towel. But really...you don’t much need it. The appliance IS large (6 qt) and sits kind of like a spaceship on the counter, but the Tiffany-mint color is attractive and I think it’s just the handsomest machine ever. One fair warning is that you MUST wipe out the basket after each use because the spatter WILL bake on, and it’s very hard to remove. I have mistreated my handsome machine and am paying for it with some areas that I can’t scrub hard enough to remove for the sake of the nonstick coating. I devoted some time to soaking and rubbing with a washcloth, and it helped, but didn’t work everywhere. Treat your machine well and clean it out while it’s still warm! ... show more
