I really love this hair color. It’s the perfect “Millennium Blue.” To get it as close to the box as I could I lightened and toned my hair. The dye still refused to stick very well to certain parts but overall I think it looks amazing. I will definitely be buying again.

The Danger Jones Poolside Hair Dye is Worthless!!! This Hair Dye Didn't Even Cover Half of my Daughter's Head of Short Hair!!! The parts that did get some dye were splotchy and uneven! I wish I could get my my money back for this dye because it didn't work at all!!! I ended up having to go and purchase another brand of blue hair dye in a beauty supply store in my town to fix the mess in my daughter's hair. She wouldn't go out in public with the Danger Jones Hair dye mess in her hair. It only took half of the bottle of the other brand to cover and fix my daughter's hair. I wouldn't recommend using the Danger Jones Poolside dye, there wasn't enough in the bottle to dye even half of head of short hair. Don't waste your money on this dye, use something else! I sure wish I didn't buy this dye because it was a total waste! It would sure be nice if I could get my money back on this product since it was completely useless!

Color: Dopamine - Black
I could cry tears of joy. I am pretty badly allergic to black hair dye. I have tried so many but always end up swollen, with blistered and flaking skin on my ears and scalp and needing to take prednisone to get it to go away. My hair stylist told me to try this one and NOT ONE ITCH and no swelling. Danger jones has a customer for life now. This is amazing. Easy to apply, didn’t stain my skin or tub, looks great. Does it cover greys? No, not really but I also don’t really care. Maybe I didn’t have enough product (one tube for my whole head). Regardless, I’m just so pleased. 10/10 👏👏

Color: Pavement - Grey
For Grey Hair: Pavement is fantastic, and I would give 5 stars, but Dopamine is a catastrophe so I can only give the entire product 3 stars since I can't do two different reviews (Dopamine would get ZERO stars). The dark grey of pavement made my hair just a touch darker, and I love it so much! Loved the smell- lasted about 2 weeks - extremely happy with Pavement. Gave me a grey almost lead pipe color hue that mixed beautifully and my hair felt extremely soft. So I decided to go a little darker- and tried Dopamine which is supposed to be a cool black. It is not black it is BLUE - DOPAMINE IS BLUE AND WILL STAIN YOUR GREYS - a very dark blue and if you have any grey hair your hair will stain BRIGHT BLUE. So is you are looking to darken your greys in a beautiful way, do Pavement- stay far away from Dopamine unless you want bright blue hair. Also, Dopamine stained horribly. My nails are bright blue, my face is blue, my sink is blue and I cannot wash it out. I put a black semi-permanent color from another brand over it just so I could go to work, and my hair is still blue, and my natural hair is black with some greys. DON'T DO IT

Color: Burlesque - Mauve
The mauve-purple was beautiful until I washed my hair. After 2 shampoos all that was left is a strong greenish indigo hue AND I still cannot get rid of it (it's been 3 weeks, I shampoo twice a week). I am stuck with light blue hair.

I've been a loyal devotee of Pravana Vivids for nearly 15 years, but I decided to change it up recently when their green was out of stock. I was a bit nervous because Pravana had been the only brand that consistently worked with my hair type and trying other brands had historically led to only failure. Fortunately, Danger Jones blew me away! It applied with incredible ease and saturated my hair thoroughly without having an excessively chemical smell. The results were true to color and brilliantly pigmented. I never thought that I'd see the day, but I think I've officially been converted!
