I have tried using pool noodles and towels to protect my paddle board when it is on my rack, but because I have an aero rack, they just fall off and look ghetto. I purchased the Dakine rack to replace this option, not only does it protect my board it also fits well and looks great

    • Near-perfect fit for Thule Xsporter Pro rack with aero bars

These XL Dakine rack pads are the only pads I’ve found that look like they were made for my Thule Xsporter Pro rack with aero bars. The pads just barely fit all the way around the circumference of the aero bars (probably a centimeter of Velcro overlap) but is still enough to completely wrap around and create a tight seal to keep each pad where you want it without any concern of the pad(s) coming loose while driving. I’m sure in time the pads and Velcro will stretch a bit more and create an even better fit. Probably would’ve given a 4.5 star rating if I could due to the lack of excess material leading to my “just barely fit” comment above. Overall, I’m super happy with purchase and would recommend these to anyone with the same Thule Xsporter Pro rack that is looking for a pad with a custom fit look. ... show more

Dakine X-Large Aero Rack Pad fit perfectly on my 2016 5th gen 4runner factory roof rack. Solid Velcro fastener the whole 18" length for secure attachment. So far, so good!

Wanted to write this review because of another saying they didn't fit on an Xterra. They do. I just received them and installed them. I haven't used them yet. So 4/5 starts. They fit perfect on my 2011 Xterra Pro 4-X, although if they were any smaller they wouldn't have. I think the other reviewer might not have gotten the XL version.
