They definitely get the job done. The screws that came with it were a nightmare to try and get into my wall, so I used my own screws. You definitely have to use both holes to screw it into the wall, but once you do it’s pretty sturdy. My curtains are small and sheer so I don’t know much about how it feels with weight on it, but they don’t feel like they’re going anywhere.

I'm not a fan of splicing, but based on the window next to the wall, this rod actually worked out. It comes with a weight limit as most curtain rods do.I definitely do not like the placement of the small screw that helps keep the rod in place. It's too short for hand tightening or loosening, but the placement (towards the wall to hide it) doesn't allow a regular screwdriver to fit. We literally had to put the curtains on, tighten the screw, and then try to install the rod on the wall, which was no fun. Overall it does the job.
