I was expecting a better quality and designed splatter protector. The design is weird since it has a few different lips on the guard to fit on different pan sizes and folds in half for easy storage. I have a hard time cleaning the silicone as the spatter gets on the inside of the holes. The handle isn’t as hefty and ergonomic as I would have liked. It does do a good time letting steam go through without the liquid splattering everywhere

This works as intended. The quality seems good (I.e., hexclad). It is easy to clean and I’ve run it through the dishwasher twice with no issues. The one negative, compared to a cheaper mesh screen, is it is difficult to see through.

We really like our Hexclad pans and find them amazing to use. As you can imagine we were super excited to see they have a splatter guard. We like this a lot more than the metal splatter guards, it seems to do a better job of keeping the grease from leaving the pan. Having the different sized rings means it can sit nicely on different sized pots/pans and not get knocked around too much. The guard can be folded in half for small pans to keep the weight properly balanced and the handle even fold for storage so it takes up considerably less space than other conventional splatter guards. The silicone is high quality and the entire product is well put together and feels sturdy. It stands up with other Hexclad products, but also like other Hexclad products the price reflects that as well. I think it's a little bit on the high side for price, but if you find it on sale cook a lot of dishes that tend to splatter this is well worth it! Overall, I would recommend this for someone that wants a splatter shield that works well on multiple pan sizes and folds away for easy storage!

I've only used this a few times so far but I didn't have the splashing issues other people have reported. Granted the things I cooked weren't exactly known for lots of splatters (e.g. fish), but I was surprised at how well it did (when I finished cooking I flipped it over to clean it and did not even see splatters on the underside.) The material is a type of rubbery/silicon which is probably why. There is the hinge on it which I guess could serve a few purposes - peeking in at the food...and folding it over for better storage in small areas. It is very flat so was easy to store in my stove drawer with my cooking pans. I did run it through the dishwasher with no issues. I am including a few pics of it on my stove which is AFTER cooked with it. You can see there are no splatters on my stove. I will update this review again after I cook some heavy-splattering bacon in it. I will say it was packaged like Fort Knox. Was inside 2 or 3 boxes plus plastic wrap.
