We use this under a deck and it can get quite warm. Rather than using the small cartridges, we purchased a large canister so they travel together. I also purchased the cover. Starting it can be tricky at first. Read the instructions literally. My partner has no issue but I am still learning the technique. Basically, hold into position until it lights then back off. Looks great and works great. I recommend getting an adapter hose that allows you to hook up a full size propane tank to it. The 1 lb tanks go fast if you have it cranked and run it for 4-5 hours.

Easy to assemble, easy to use, warms an area about 4 feet from heater on cool nights. Using it allows us to extend our porch time in the cooler months. Overall a good little heater.

I have 2 of these and am giving both away after a single use. They are difficult and fussy to assemble with a stick film that is nearly impossible to peel off, no decent instructions or pix for assembly and takes 2 people unless you are a magician. I had two set up on a covered porch for Halloween on a 40 degree night—you could hardly feel any warmth and the tanks were completely empty in 3 hours. I would not recommend ... show more
