DO NOT BUY this can opener!!!!! I purchased many items because I was moving and needed a compact can opener, I do not have very much space in my kitchen. After I received it, I put it away in a box until when it was to be moved into my new place. I took it out the other day to use it and it does not work. I asked my son in law to help me because I thought maybe I was doing something wrong. He could not get it to work either. He tried shutting it off and it would not turn off. We had to leave it and when we returned 20 minutes later it was still going, however it does not open cans. Unfortunately, the return window closed in October. Now I am without a battery operated can opener and have this one that is worthless. I now have to find a battery powered can opener that will actually work.
