I just purchased the 56-926 to maintain the 70 ah lithium battery in my car. I had the other version for my 2017 Corvette, which had a lead-acid battery. This works just as easily. Right out of the package, read the easy instructions, attach the alligator clips, hook it to the proper terminals (in my case, under the hood to the jump start terminals), and plug it in. It took about six hours to fully charge. It did get very warm, but that appears to be a trait. I had no problems with the connections, or quality control. The clips worked well at their simple task. The Corvette had a cigarette lighter port in the rear hatch area that was constantly hot, so it was very convenient to deploy the plug there. My current car has a cigarette lighter, but I do not know if it's constantly electrified. I don't think so, I believe after 10 minutes or so, that accessory is no longer powered, thus it would not accept a charge. I recommend this CTEK product. ... show more

Lithium batteries can lose their charge over time when parked for extended periods, particularly when its cold. Modern cars never sleep, there's always a small current drawn. The CTEK keeps the battery charged and its connector can be configured to allow access without unlocking the car or opening the trunk/hood; many cars require elaborate procedures to unlock the car and access the electrical system to resurrect the vehicle. ... show more

Works great on the Porsche 911 with lithium battery. The Porsche charger needs to set to lithium mode before charging but it always reset back to selection mode after sometime. This charger just need to connect and plug to the wall and forget about it.
