Did the Job, Reasonable Value
Capacity: 1TB Without Heatsink
I was looking to expand the amount of internal storage I had in my son's PC. This did the job. I cannot speak to if there has been a noticeable difference in performance or speed versus the last SSD card he had, but he has never complained about it. It did not take him very long to install this and he was not unhappy with the amount of time it took to transfer data onto this. In terms of the price, this was on par with many of the other options that would fit his motherboard. ... show more

works as advertised
Capacity: 1TB Without Heatsink
been using it since the beginning of the year and it works fine. it's used primarily for gaming and it's as fast as advertised but the best thing is I got it before prices really went up due to all the nand being used for ai slop that no one really asked for

Good SSD
Capacity: 1TB Without Heatsink
With the data centers eating up all the available memory and SSDs, prices are soaring, this was a good quality SSD at a very good price in todays market.

Easy to upgrade older SSD
Capacity: 1TB Without Heatsink
Item is a P510 1 TB NVMe M.2 SSD. I needed to replace the OS drive in an older Dell 5880 desktop. It was only a 256 GB SSD with the smaller form factor. I use a Synology server to back up the OS and system drive. I simply plugged the new drive into the slot after changing the hold-down screw to the longer position. I fired up the restore USB drive, logged into the backup image and restored. It took about 25 minutes to do a bare metal restore to the new drive. I removed the USB and rebooted and after the PC started up there were no error messages. I signed in and tested the drives and connectivity and all was well. As far as the PC knows nothing changed. The drive has performed as expected for the last hour or so with no issues. My plan is to create a separate partition and install Linux in a dual boot configuration. Since all of my data is stored on a separate drive and location I can go back and forth as needed. I do not plan to upgrade to Win 11. This large 1 TB OS drive fits my needs and will hopefully last as long as the PC does. I don't ask this desktop to do anything different then when it was first purchased in 2020. I researched lot of M.2 NVMe drives before purchasing this one. It is a Gen 5 drive but runs in my PC as Gen 3 so it is backwards compatible. The cost vs speed and storage price point is what lead me to this drive along with a 5 year warranty and TBW of 600TB. I feel that this one is best bang for the bucks along with it being new and just released. Crucial does allow you to download a version of Acronis Disk Image if you register the drive first if you don't have any other means to clone or recover a backup. Just follow the instructions in the enclosed paperwork for your language. ... show more
