I bought this to make artisan's bread in. You have to heat the dutch oven up to 450 degrees for 20 min then you cook in it for another 45 min. I have made at least 40 loafs of bread in this and it still looks as good as it did the day I bought it. The enamel has not split on lid or at side of pan and I have bought a couple that have. This makes the perfect size of bread. And it would make a large pot roast, soup or stew, use it in over or on top of stove. without breaking the bank. This pan its my go to every time I make bread and I have several dutch ovens. I always use parchment paper but you will still always get oil spots and they clean up easy without having to scrub, just use a little soap and water after use. ... show more

Bought as a gift for Christmas and it is a dream. (Bought as a gift but I've been using it). Doesn't get dirty easily, stands up to the burners really well. It's nice and big, definitely cooks for many people. The color is great, and it looks just like it did on the listing. The lids design allows for accumulated steam to be spread out around the pot, which if you're looking into getting a Dutch oven, is really important. I am incredibly happy with this purchase. I have never owned a Dutch oven before and when I started baking bread I wanted to buy one. I am typically someone who indulges in the “designer” version if I know it is something I will have for life and never have to purchase again … but the competitor is $400+ and I see zero difference in quality or aesthetic for that matter so the indulgence was not worth it to me. I took my chance and purchased and I am SO HAPPY I did. This product is very heavy and high quality. I have now been using for 10 months and there is no damage (any thing you see on the sides is not permanent and scrubs right off). I purchased the 7 qt and it’s probably larger than I need but now it can be used for more. I love this product! I purchased this gorgeous Dutch oven when I was adding some new appliances and things to my kitchen after a move, and this was exactly what I was looking for, with a much lower price tag than the "famous" brand. It has the lovely red/orange color scheme that I adore and it had great reviews. It was super affordable, so I ordered one. For the longest time I didn't use it for much; it was more "That so pretty! I'll figure out what to do with it later". Well, after a mishap that ended with my stock pot burning all the Teflon off, my only option now was to use my beautiful Dutch oven. It is truly a wonderful design. I can cook on the stove with it, I can bake with it, and every time I go to clean it I imagine all the stuck on splatters that I can see are going to take hours to scrub off. And this is where the magic happens! Nothing sticks to it. Not on the outside, not on the inside. It looks as new as the day I got it and cleanup is ridiculously easy. How have I spent my life without this pot? I need to go find it in every size, because not only is it stunning to look at, it is a masterpiece of craftsmanship. I can't rate this any higher. This dutch oven is beautiful and appears to be well made. I haven’t used it yet, but I did wash it (by hand), and it is HEAVY. If you have difficulty lifting or have arthritis, this may not be a practical choice for you. I can only imagine how heavy this will be when filled with food. I had to it set in the sink to wash most of it, since it’s too heavy to hold with one hand. Then after rinsing, I had to set it on the counter while drying it with a towel. Also, the tag says that the handles get hot and to use oven mitts every time while cooking. I would still recommend, depending on what’s functional for your own kitchen needs. ... show more

This lovely cast iron pot is lovely. Unfortunately, it arrived damaged, both in & outside the pot & lid. Therefore, we returned it. I should add that as an elderly woman, with arthritis & limited mobility, this pot was VERY heavy.
