This is very easy to put together. It is foldable so easy to store out of the way when you do not need it. it is plenty big enough for several birds. and I love that there is no bottom so less mess. This is not a coop. This is for using to let small animals out in the grass for grazing when only cats or hawks may be the predator. It would not stop a dog or a raccoon. I'm happy with this for the money spent. I intend on using it part time to acclimate chicks to the coop and to the outdoors prior to free-ranging. I would not use it for a full-time outdoor option and I would notnput more than 2 full size chickens in it.

You have to assemble and took me and my daughter 1+hr. We had one from years ago that is $15 more and worth it since making it took so long- would have rather it came assembles- especially since it is made to fold up- so no reason to send in pieces. I recommend finding one already assembled

This product is barely worth half of what they are asking, quality is garbage! Mesh is loose, parts aren't square and God forbid they actually use a measure tape. Once we build this pile of trash and was putting on the top main piece where it is "supposed" to "fold" into each other. I notice the handle/hinge piece is 1/2" to small and now i have spend my time and money to make a piece so It actually work. I'd return it but I think I'd rather use the $90 pile of trash as fire wood. The instructions look like they were made by someone who loved pictionary! We use this for our bearded dragon to get some UV rays safely in the back yard since he is not a fan of wearing a leash. This gives a good amount of space for him, but still folds easily to bring inside and let him run around and watch us when it's too cold outside and he needs to get out of his enclosure for a bit. I have a bantam hen that had to be separated from the others. I got this for her and it's a great solution until we can get another chicken coop built. It's really convenient because we can very easily set it up in whatever area of the yard we choose during the day and then simply put it over a waterproof pad inside the house when we bring her in. She really seems to like it a lot and it's actually very roomy for her. The quality of this cage is great, but the assembly was a little aggravating in my opinion. It was definitely worth that little bit of aggravation though. We tried to be extra careful in ensuring that we had all the pieces positioned correctly, but we did end up having to redo one of the pieces. I don't really feel the instructions are overly great, but they aren't horrible either. I do think they could be a little more detailed though instead of just primarily being pictures. I took a star off because one panel arrived with bent wire and the door panel arrived with damage to the wood. Neither issue affects the functionality of the cage, but I don't feel there should've been cosmetic issues straight out of the box. The box was not damaged in any way and the missing chunk of wood wasn't present in the box so it had to have been packed from the factory that way. I should also say that we can't get ours to fold down as shown in the pictures because we installed the included wood support bar. Perhaps it's somehow possible to fold it down without removing it, but we weren't able to get it to fold down once we screwed in the support. Overall, I'm pleased with this cage. I think it's a decent enough value for the retail ($110) because it looks good and feels sturdy. It works out really well for my bantam hen so I would definitely recommend it for a chicken. ... show more
