It's advertised that this will last until you shampoo your hair. Not true! I wrapped my hair overnight and the time I unwrapped it in the morning this product was completely gone. My scarf is black so I can't see it but I'm sure it rubbed off on it. No water, oils or brushes were used. So honestly, I can't tell it wears off or rubs off easily. I'm 46 yrs old with hereditary thinning hair, and I'm female. Through the years, I've tried so many products that I've lost count. This is one I've used continually over the course of almost a decade. This is one of the very few products that is actually helpful in volumizing my hair and concealing the dreaded scalp halo (when your scalp shines through your thin hair, especially under overhead lighting). When applied, the powder adheres to your hair, creating instant volume, while mattefying and coloring your scalp to match your hair color. Honestly, it makes me look like I actually have a full head of hair! And it is NOT fibers, like most other products on the market (yuck!). This powder does not sweat off of you. Trust me! I'm a premenopausal woman living in an ungodly humid and HOT climate and have NEVER had an issue with this running down my face or flaking off. All that staying power gives me a few more days between washings, yet it easily washes out with only one shampoo. I have Asian black hair and getting grey is super frustrating. It's just like being a blonde and dying your hair black. Re growth is a huge problem. This powder is perfect and I waited to write a review until the weather became hot because I sweat so much. It did not make black drops onto my clothes. It hasn't rubbed off onto my pillow cases either but it is only at the roots. It covers the part line In addition to filling in the sparse hair area where my skin shows through from thinning hair. So if you don't always have the time to cover your grey as often as you would like, this is perfect. Filling in those sparse areas of hair where the skin shows through, this is perfect. I've also been using this product for balding and thinning areas. Big areas too! Instead of the brush, I use a small round sponge to apply it and it does the trick. I've bought everything there is on the market and feel much more comfortable and confident with this product. It doesn't run down your face in the rain and does stay on throughout the day. (I don't even flinch if caught in the rain.) I agree with another person who stated that it can be a bit messy around the sink area when applying it and when shampooing, it'll run off a bit on the shower floor. I recommend a halfway decent shampoo to properly wash and rinse it all out. If it's not washed out thoroughly, your hair might look and feel like the Incredible Hulk - a bit straw-like. Do two washes if needed. (I use Loreal) To me, it's worth it and so am I. What a confidence booster! ... show more

This is the best scalp covering product I have ever tried. I don't know what it does for gray hair, but it is great for thinning hair. If you have black hair, natural or dyed, this could help disguise balding spots. I have tried practically everything. This covers but doesn't matte your hair. It can dry out a bit and get powdery, gets all over the bathroom sink, but easy to rinse. It is not easy to rinse out of your scalp, fortunately. I have never had it dripping down my forehead in the rain, for example. Just brush it on from the compact, cover as much as you need, then rub it around with your fingers to blend it on your scalp. If you get three compacts at once, it is almost 50% off the store price. They each seem to last about a month. I will keep using this powder until it's time to get over the thinning thing and let go au naturel! ... show more
