    • More suited for a small pool.
Returned this item. It did not clean our pool completely. Had to pull it out and charge again, then put back in the pool for more cleaning and it still didn't get the whole pool. Charged it again, put back in pool. It still didn't get the pool clean. I think it would work well for a small pool. It is not heavy, but a pain pulling it out and charging. I ended up buying a corded pool robot. ... show more

    • Cannot recommend
I'm actually returning this item. It seems underpowered to manage our small pool.

I was a bit skeptical about this one because it only really had a lot of Vine reviews when I got it. (Wish I saw it on Vine so I could have grabbed one for free). But I took a chance because the price was a fraction of similar looking pool robot vacuums. I have now used this thing four times, and so far, it is THE BEST POOL PURCHASE I have made in the 16 years that I've been a pool owner. It works so good! I don't think I'll be using the wall feature too much, but I did put a video of that in the media part of the review. I like that you can set it on just do the floor, just do the walls, OR do both the floor and the walls. I was also nervous because the floor of my pool has some bumps and wrinkles in it, but this thing doesn't miss a beat and goes over all of it with no issues and cleans super well! The specs say it will run for 90 mins and so far I'm getting a bit more than that, so I'm very happy and it only takes 3 hours to charge which I think is very reasonable. It was tricky to do the firmware update, but once I got that done in the Poolstar app, I was good to go. I did run it in the pool once before updating the firmware, and didn't have any issues fyi. Also, I deleted the app because it doesn't really let you do much when the robot is actually vacuuming in the pool, so I just push the buttons on the unit and then drop it in. It's nice that it comes with a hook to get it out of the pool as well. I also have been covering the charge port with a piece of wide electrical tape because there are so many warnings not to get water in there that it made me nervous. I'm not sure this is necessary since the rubber cover seems good, but I figure, better safe than sorry.... I did find that the "S" patterns that the machine follows sometimes leave gaps, but if you run it for the full 90 min (my pool is a 27' round radiant pool) it will get the full floor and then some. And, as I said before, I don't think I'll need to do my walls too often, but I'll do them occasionally... As long as the machine holds up, I'll be thrilled. We don't close our pool in the winter because we don't get a ton of stuff and the work of opening and closing the pool in the fall and spring is way more than just cleaning the pool good in the spring, plus there's less stress on the walls when you don't cover the pool. So, the spring will be the first big test of this machine as that is when the pool is the dirtiest and has a fair amount of leaves and stuff on the bottom. I will report back here once we do the initial cleaning in the spring in case it's helpful, and as always, if something changes with my opinion of this, I will also update this review. For now, it's a full five stars and a recommended purchase for anyone looking for a fairly full featured scrubbing robot vacuum at a very reasonable price. I hope you found this helpful! Oh, last thing, if you set this on a table or flat surface, the rubber scrubber and other bits on the bottom will touch the surface and begin to flatten out, so when I store it, I have risers under the side tracks that keep the bottom and the front scrubber from getting flat spots... ... show more

Too many lights, confusing, you have to babysit it, it seems it was confused as i was, all lights were blinking on and off, when it stopped had to retreave it from the bottom of the pool, charging lights didn’t work
