The Cooks Standard Stainless Steel Roaster with Rack, 14 By 12-Inch is made of heavy gauge stainless steel that provides even heat conduction and is durable. V-shaped stainless steel rack allows for even browning, faster cooking, and collecting liquids/fat for sauces. Riveted stainless steel handles are deep for a secure grip. Flat bottom can be used for roasting, baking, and can be placed on stovetops. Not Induction compatible. Works on gas, electric, glass ceramic, halogen, etc. Oven safe to 500F and dishwasher safe. Inside measures: 14 by 12 by 3 inches. Outside measures: 16 by 12 by 5.5 inches.

I finally broke down and bought a large roasting pan after decades of splitting larger batches of food between two medium-sized ones. I needed one with vertical handles to fit my oven, and after comparison I chose this one, and I'm very satisfied with it after several uses. It is solid, but not overly heavy, and it holds a lot of food for making big batches. It is also very deep - deeper than I can imagine ever needing. It cleans easily, and if you want it perfectly shiny, a little Bar Keeper's friend works great. I have not use the rack yet, but it is very sturdy. By far, the best roaster I’ve ever had and I’ve been cooking for 40+ years. Accommodates 20lb. turkey nicely. Very solid, heavy (but not too heavy) and easy to clean. That might be the best feature. Looks really nice. I like that it's wider than most roasting pans of the same length. Rack is fine, could be a bit more rounded, but whatever. I suppose a rack is cheap to replace if I decide I really care. I haven't had any problems putting it on the stovetop in terms of damage, no warps, pits, etc.. If that changes, I'll update. Understand, it is not plied with aluminum, so the heating surface does not heat evenly like a skillet or saucepan would, you have to really pay attention using it on the stovetop because of that. Regular cleaning is as easy as any other stainless steel I've dealt with. You obviously will have to put in a little work to keep it looking close to as nice as it does new, if that matters to you. I hit it with some barkeepers helper every few months and that does the trick to my standards. ... show more
