  • Excellent Product
Color: Black Size: 100ft
I did much research before replacing my 100' garden hose. Overall, this hose has been impressive. The pressure is outstanding and it rolls up easily on my hose reel. It will kink sometimes but I think it's due to the hose still being relatively new. I think after I use it more it will loosen up and not kink anymore. ... show more

  • The only hose worth buying
Color: Black Size: 25ft
TL;DR: This is a buy-it-for-life hose. But it's heavy. If that's a problem, I'd recommend getting a different one. If heavy/robust is fine, your search is over. We just got this 25' hose for our front yard. It handles the duck pen and is long enough to hose off windshields in a frost and supply our pressure washer for the rest. I chose it because Continental is an actual rubber manufacturer with experience making rubber that tolerates all seasons (there's a pun in there if you squint). It's heavy, and it sticks to concrete like a tire. But here's the thing.. It doesn't leak, and it doesn't kink up unreasonably -- or at all if you store it out of the weather. We don't store ours. It's going to sit right where you see it until we move. I'd recommend getting a swivel, because while it's not rigid, it is robust. There's no flow restriction and the fittings on it aren't like the competition's ridiculous, oversized nonsense you can (and I have) crush with your work boots *on accident* while walking through the garden section of a store. They're tough, boot tested, and as big as they need to be. No bigger. This hose isn't a waste of money. If you're able-bodied, it's the only one worth buying. If you're impaired, worried about crushing delicate plants, or work with it extensively, multiple times a day, get a lightweight cloth hose. The cloth hose will leak after a few years (or less), particularly if it freezes with any water in it. But there's no shame in getting something to suit your needs. This one will hang in there 'til you run it over with a lawn mower. Then you just cut out the damaged section, use a brass hose barb and some stainless hose clamps, and you're golden. You can finally stop buying gimmick garden hoses. Fair winds and following seas to ya! ... show more

  • Top of the line garden hose
Color: Orange Size: 50ft
Continental Premium Garden Heavy Duty Cold Water Garden Hose We have two Continental hoses. They are made like products were in the 1950's, with quality materials. - The vast majority of today's garden hoses have aluminum fittings, typically anodized or painted. The problem with that is that virtually all home garden hose faucets are brass -- and aluminum/brass contact will corrode the aluminum over time. Try unscrewing the aluminum fitting when that happens. Continental uses machined brass (not stamped as on cheaper hoses) brass fittings, so corrosion is not an issue. - If a hose reel is used to wind up and unwind a decent hose such as this one, hose kinks are generally not an issue. Customers that whine about kinks typically don't use hose reels and are shocked that their hose kinks. Most hoses are more likely to kink if coiled manually. - The Continental hoses inside diameter is 5/8". Given than most homes have 1/2" ID pipes feeding their garden hose faucet, 5/8" is fine. - 100% Made in America If I need a third hose, I'll get another one of these... ... show more

  • Lasts for decades
Color: Red Size: 50ft
Forty-five years ago, I moved to the Phoenix metro area. I bought three Continental rubber garden hoses. Those hoses were exposed to an average of 100 degrees of heat. Seven years ago, I moved to Florida and took the hoses with me. I still use them. Since I have acreage with faucets in more areas, I bought a couple more. You can purchase inexpensive hoses that may last a few years, or opt for quality that lasts for decades. Most importantly, they are made in the USA by American workers. ... show more

  • Continental black hoses are usually excellent - this one seems different
Color: Black Size: 100ft
I loved my 50' Continental hose so much that I bought another 100' one. I'm not sure what it is, but the rubber on this hose just feels different than my older one. Perhaps because of this, it also kinked like crazy--it took a lot of effort to get the kinks out of the hose on its first 5-10 uses. (The entire reason I went with the Continental hose is that it doesn't kink up). It seems to be improving after multiple uses and after stretching the hose taut, but I was disappointed with the hose's performance out of the box. All this said, the Continental hose is the best one I've used by far, and I would take a chance on it again. ... show more

I was hesitating to spend that kind of money on a garden hose for my ranch, well well worth it! It is a far superior quality made hose!

  • Hose
Color: Red Size: 50ft
Hose works great better than some of those big box stores. Other hoses I have bought from big box stores tend to bend and crack and leak at the bend even though they advertised as heavy construction hose. This hose is way better.
