1. The resistance bands can really provide a lot of resistance. 2. The seat was not securely attached to the frame. I had to tighten up the nuts.

NOT magnetic resistance, false advertising. The resistance comes entirely from elastic bands that will wear out quickly with use. There are only 3 resistance options and they're not very easy to adjust. Since the resistance is elastic, the resistance amount changes dynamically each rep, which isn't conducive to actual rowing.

After 3 months of usage this rower has not experienced any band breakage, HOWEVER, for those looking for replacement bands, I have "measured" a relaxed one at 84 inches. The longest bungees cords with carabiner hooks I could find are 80 inches and are available in two packs on Amazon. Just search 80 inch Bungee cords.

The item has a top pulley and a bottom pulley. The bottom one rolls nicely but the top is deformed where it does not roll. It has bearings, so I know it's supposed to roll, but instead the cords glide across it, causing the cords to wear and fray. Manufacturer has not responded.
