Great investment. I have had this pellet stove for two years and it is awesome. It says up to 2400 sq feet and my house is 2700 sq feet, two story home. It keeps my house warm all winter. I keep it on level 1 out of 5, at about 20 degrees outside temperature. I run the pellet stove 24 hours a day during the winter. I use my heat pump to offset the temperature. I use to use about 2000 gallons of propane a year and now I use about 300 hundred gallons of propane. I use about 3 to 3.5 pallets of pellets a year. Each pallet is one ton and I buy them at ACE at $290 a pallet and then use one of my discount ACE cards for $25 dollars off. The hopper holds two 40 lb bags of pellets, for a total of 80 lbs. I use one bag a day when the temperature stays in the high teens to 20s during the day. When it gets below zero, I turn it up to level 2 or three to keep the house warm., and it goes through about 1.5 bags a day. It will probably handle down to 20 below zero and go through more pellets. My heat pump seldom switches to propane heat to keep up with the cold temperatures when I run the pellet stove. This is an awesome machine. Note, when you read the instructions it says to not use the auto on off with the thermostat as it will wear out the ignitor. I used it about the first week with the thermostat and then switched to manual and keep it running 24 hours a day, turning the whole machine off when it gets above 40 degrees outside. I clean it once a week and it takes me about 15 minutes to do everything.. Don't think about it, just buy it. ... show more

  • Danger! - On power-loss fills house with smoke.
I had the stove running for 2 weeks when I lost power the first time. Filled the house with smoke. Tech support suggests the stove is doing what it should and that I should buy their over-priced UPS. I have a cheap US stove pellet stove that does not leak smoke when the power goes out and it does not need a UPS. If you plan on running the stove while your wife and kids are home alone, don't buy this one. Get one with safety features. UPDATE: 1/8/23 - Every time I go to do something with this stove I find a bolt that is cross threaded. Cleaning the exhaust fan out and find that one for the 4mm bolts that holds the cover on is coming out hard. It's cross threaded and now wont go back in. Also, when I first got the stove the rod that cleans the heat exchangers was cross threaded. That wasnt so bad, but this exhaust bolt being crossed put the stove out of use. Not happy with this stove at all. ... show more
