Based on a few reviews I was worried that this was not the real deal but it is a genuine Dewalt battery with it's nice heavy weight and durable feeling and labeling that all matches my other batteries. The price is pretty steep for these but I prefer to have a Mix of real ones and third party ones on hand when doing Jobs. I know this one will last because all of my DeWalt batteries have lasted for years. About my only Gripe is that it comes with barely any charge in it. The last LED was barely lit so I made sure to charge is as soon as it came. I am going to run a capacity test on it soon and will get back and update this review. ... show more

Battery was delivered completely dead. This is bad for battery health. However, it charged up completely fine and seems to hold a charge. There are a lot of visual differences inside and out. Some good, some bad. Here are a few I noticed between my old 2019 battery and the new battery... New 2025 Battery Green battery cells Regular T10 screws Silver battery contacts Cells from Malaysia Assembled in Mexico QR Code results in product not found. 3" width 4.25" long 2.5" tall Old 2019 Battery Red battery cells TR10 screws (tamper resistant) Yellow battery contacts Cells from Korea Assembled in China No QR code 2-7/8" width 4-3/8" long 2.5" tall They changed the design quite a bit. The QR code on the new battery didn't work for me. DeWalt website says, "Product not found." The battery looks legit but I have no idea. At least it has a control board inside - most counterfeit batteries don't. I also compared the insides to pics of other legit batteries I found online. So I'm mostly confident this is a real Dewalt battery. I was able to register the battery with DeWalt, quick and easy. It comes with a 3 year warranty so hopefully they cover whatever issues I have, if any, in the near future. ... show more

As usual for Dewalt, they build a good product. I've had and used their products from way back, and still have many of the old post style batteries which are going strong to this day. I like the new streamlined shape of the LI batteries and they stay inserted, even when the dropped tool occasion happens, as with every craftsman who uses power tools. I've never had a Dewalt product crack or break when dropped, nor a battery fail afterwards. That's my experience anyway. No pics included, cause what you see in the advertisement page, is what it looks like in real life. Just plain good tools. ... show more
