This electric kettle has a sleek design that looks nice on the counter and resists smudging better than other stainless steel appliances. It remains cool to the touch, which is great since I have kids. I chose this model because the on/off button is on the handle rather than a switch at the base, which I have found tends to fail after around a year. So far, it has performed well. The large opening makes cleaning easy, and the water level window is a helpful addition. The spout pours smoothly without spilling, and the kettle feels sturdy. The ability to select a specific temperature is a great feature, especially for making herbal teas and hot chocolate that do not require boiling water. The boiling function is useful for quick meals like cup noodles or instant potatoes. While the stay-hot feature is a nice option, I haven’t needed to use it since I typically prepare large amounts of tea in an insulated carafe. Review is for COMFEE 1.7L Double Wall Electric Tea Kettle. I was surprised that the kettle's appearance was actually much nicer in person compared to the product photos. Design is sleek and modern. The overall build quality appears to be solid. The flip-up switch has a built-in light to indicate when the unit is powered on (this was not shown in the photos). The interior steel vessel is a singular piece (like a thermos) and has no seals that might potentially leak (the corners have a small radius - no weld points). There are no plastic parts that come into contact with the water. Even the underside of the lid is one solid piece of metal. NOTE: my unit had a plastic and metal mesh strainer attached on the inside, which was easily removed via the plastic notches. The exterior is a nicely finished, glossy plastic with a solid handle. Looks like it should hold up well. Heating times (starting with cold tap water to full boil): 8m30s with cold water filled to the MAXIMUM line 3m10s with cold water filled to the MINIMUM line I have not owned the unit for very long, but based on the use I've had so far, I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nicely designed, 100% no-plastic-contact with water, budget friendly electric kettle.

This ia about the most perfect kettle I have found. Stainless steel (not plastic), with the exception of the very useful and easy to read water-level window. Boils quickly. Very comfortable handle, but you should grab it below the mid-point. It's quiet, too.

The lid is entirely plastic, so droplets of water fall back down into the water, and the removable filter has some plastic. I'm still not sure if it is good to have the window made of plastic, but I do like to see how much water is in it from the outside. It's a beautiful design and seems to work well at quickly boiling water and more economically than a tea kettle on the stove or a microwave. It shuts off when it reaches boiling, so the safety features seem to function well. My concern is if the water will taste like plastic and it will offer another opportunity for my body to be filled with microplastics. The outside is hot to the touch, so you need to handle it only from the handle, so caution with children. However it is well made, beautiful and compact enough to fit in a small kitchen.

I really like this! No need to turn on the stove in the morning for tea or a coffee pour-over. I like the hard sides, and the ability to produce boiling water in two or three minutes. Hopefully it has a long trouble free life.

I bought this kettle to replace another brand that drew too much power, and eventually melted its own base. This kettle heats a little bit slower than my prior unit, but this one shows no signs of failure and still heats the water to a rolling boil. It has a bright LED embedded in the power switch/button that I can see clearly across the room. When the water is hot, the switch/button clicks and the LED goes out. Perfect. There is a water level strip on the left side of the pot which is easy to view and understand. I did remove the fine-mesh filter from the spout. The water pours a little faster without the filter.
