  • This is it.
Size: 27" QD OLED QHD Style: 360Hz | USB Hub
If you want an *HDR, 1440p, OLED* monitor, I believe this is it. Color-sensitive work on a budget? This is it. Gaming? This is it. I have scouted and rejected many monitors to find the best within my budget, and here I am staying for good. It has anything you'd want in a color-sensitive, professional setting as well as in a gaming context. I use this monitor more as a 'pro budget' choice for color-based work which requires specific color gamuts, and the monitor can switch between them (DCI-P3, Adobe RGB, and sRGB) well with no fuss. The colors have been pre-calibrated at the factory (I received a calibration report in-box), and the brightness is great too-- I am completely content in using this for any editing or viewing purpose. The very high refresh rate of 360hz isn't something I take advantage of most of the time, but definitely is wild to see. If you're into ultra-competitive games, this may be key for you, especially as anecdotal BlurBusters/UFOTest viewings did show that 360hz was in fact clearer than 180hz for fast motion. But for most modern games, you'll need a fairly decent GPU to even reach 360fps at 1440p. VRR tech like FreeSync and G-Sync will be your friend. I don't care about border space on monitors, but if you do, then this monitor isn't going to soothe that. The panel itself is actually higher than 1440p, but the monitor staggers the display image around as to reduce burn-in from static UI elements like your taskbar, which I do not notice at all. Even set it to its fastest shifting, I just couldn't notice the single-pixel adjustments in image, and I'm sitting fairly close to it. I doubt you could either. Despite being classified as a 'gaming monitor', there are no unsightly 'gamer aesthetics' to it; It's completely professional looking, and behaving. It's nice, and stays out of the way. Philips' Ambiglow (LED backlighting reactant on video) is actually great for using the monitor in dark rooms, as the surrounding glow off the wall helps to adjust your eyes to the image in focus. It's less 'sting' on the eyes for the same image. I usually *hate* RGB/light-up effects usually, but these will stay on because these RGB's have genuine utility to them. I am genuinely glad to have this option. Finally, the stand and VESA bracket is made from *SOLID* metal (I believe aluminum) and would 100% hurt if you hit someone with it. Make of that what you will. ... show more

arguably a lot better than other "budget" OLEDs in this price range, ambiglow is okay but mostly a gimmick, has pixel shifting and a screensaver so you dont have to worry about immediate burn-in if you leave it on for long amounts of time, got this for $100 less as a used model but it still had the protective film on so pretty good bargain. ... show more

  • First Impression
Size: 27" QD OLED QHD Style: 360Hz | USB Hub
This is my initial review, as this is a very recent purchase, but I did want to address some things mentioned in other reviews that gave me pause. It was packaged well. Like any other monitor I have ever opened. I feel like that packaging is pretty standard. It did come with a protective film, so if that is missing I would definitely return it. You probably didn’t receive a new unit. The screen was perfect with no scratches or pixel issues at start. The stand felt of decent quality. It’s a metal base with a plastic cover over it. What I really like is how sensitive the swivel is and how smooth the up and down adjustment is. I am sure there are nicer stands, but there are certainly much cheaper stands and this one does the job and looks nice. I also like the added touch of having a headphone hanger. I didn’t notice that in the listing. I am not an OLED expert, but I can say this one is very bright, so if that is a concern for you, I wouldn’t be worried. The color accuracy out of the box is great. Which is nice for me since I am on a console. I do have a work laptop I can use to adjust it, but it’s great not to need to. It’s giving the max specs for a PS5 which is nice. It’s so strange how few monitors have that 2.1 HDMI port. I paid $549 for mine and at that price it seems very competitive! I don’t know about the MSRP though, seems a little high. ... show more

Size: 34" QD OLED WQHD Style: 175Hz | USB-C Docking
It’s beautiful, not to trash another brand but I had purchased an AcerNitro and boiii, was I upset. My whites looked yellow, grayish even. When not in HDR While looking for replacements, I stumbled upon this baby, it’s such a beautiful monitor, huge, the glow it offers to further immerse you into games/ videos is amazing. Picture is amazing, your blacks will be so void of light, you might want to turn up the brightness, everything is sharp, As soon I was an hour in, I decided that this was the ONE so I insured it. Easy to use right out of the box and gaming performance is stellar. 100000/10 on quality ... show more
