The only thing I would change are the screws to decking bit type screws. It'll withstand erosion much better and wont strip out easily. I over engineered but rather safe than sorry. The span was a triangular shade sail 20x20x20 to protect my veggie garden from harsh sun and heat in South Valley CA. This hardware will last for many many years. ... show more

This product was easy to install and set, but we did have an issue where one of the winches was not locking right. I sent them a note and I had a complete new set on my doorstep within a couple of days. I didn’t have to take down our shade sail completely and send back all of the parts of the old set before getting a new set which was wonderful. We just got the new one and replaced the old one and we were good to go. I winch set up is so easy to install. Honestly, a bit flimsy in some areas. The bar that's supposed to lock the ratchet gear in place is a bit lacking. But, all in all it got the job done and allowed me to tension the sail pretty well. Time will tell how it all holds up.

I haven’t even installed this hardware, literally took it out of the bag to test all of the turnbuckles and one of the hooks were stuck in place. I figured I could heat it up a bit and it would break free, but no success. Cheap hardware, I’m glad it didn’t even work, it’s probably a good indication of how it would last. I would recommend going to your local hardware store for this entire set. ... show more

For the money, great product. However, the screws/hardware they provide is garbage. They stripped immediately. You'll need some good hardened steel screws from the hardware store. Once up, worked as described and so far no issues.
