My wife recently had knee surgery and a close friend recommended one of these to help the recovery process. My wife loves it. The circulating ice cold water feels great on her aching knee and it is pretty well insulated. She gets at least a couple hours of use out of it on every fill. It's not a cheap item to get, especially after an already expensive surgery, but the benefits can not be denied and this has been a godsend as far as my wife is concerned. I just had a total knee replacement. Icing is essential to prevent swelling and the machine is easy to use. You have control over how long it takes to turn it on and it automatically turns it off and on again, so I used it all night too. More icing means less pain medication I have to take. I bought a multi-purpose pad that covers more area to wrap my entire knee. I would recommend this to anyone.

Very dissatisfied. Started it right away for my wife after a knee replacement. Used frozen water bottles. W water. Discovered after 20 minutes of use, a lovely pool of water appeared on our new wood floors and soaked her post op papers. There appeared to be a leak from where the hose connect into the cooler and I could not stop it from leaking., so basically trash.

The product directions are appropriate for the product. the Cool Therapy works as suggested. Instead of ice I have frozen ounce water bottles instead of using ice. The ice bottles make it easy for my care giver to keep the cooling process working. Also the length of timer is more than adequate for treatment periods. This is my second knee replacement and this product was not available and subsequently I had more swelling at the joint. Related to pain reduction it would be specific to me it has helped
