The photos and descriptions are misleading. Nothing in the photos and description say you need a stabilizing rope to install. I do not have the space for this. Had I known, I would have never bought this product. Additionally, the instructions ask that you tie the stabilizing rope to the nail. One problem... THEY DON'T INCLUDE THE NAIL! It was great. We drilled the brackets right into the wall and they are super secure and hold the patio lights for the rooftop terrace. Great product if you have a terrace space and don’t have grass to put the Poles in.

I bought one pole and connected three strings of lights to it. The pole was easy to put together as advertised. I staked it down and have had no issues even in heavy winds.

The poles were somewhat easy to piece together, but the problem is they wobble. I installed these cemented in planters. The one pole particularly has a bend/arc. In retrospect, I should have installed wooden poles that are unbendable in planters. Because these poles are pieced together in multiple parts, they are not as stable as I'd like.
