This is amazing. I bought four of these for my rechargeable cameras, and I have not had to charge them again. Just follow the recommendations for which way to point the solar panel and you will not be sorry the wire is discreet, but the cameras stay fully charged regardless of how much they are on during the day and night. They were compatible with my cameras and they have different attachments for other types of cameras. Very good price and a great investment to keep me from having to climb the walls and recharge these cameras all the time. Definitely recommend. They’re pretty small and discreet, and do not easily give away the location of the cameras, but I found that even my camera that is on the tree and most often shaded still works with the solar panel, which is amazing. ... show more

This item was super-easy to mount, and the adapter cord allowed it to plug into my Arlo Essential camera. It was providing charge even out of direct sunlight. My Arlo app shows when it is charging, and that it is no longer charging when the camera battery is full. My battery was lasting 3-4 weeks, and now I don't have to get a ladder out and charge it. These panels work better than other panels I have tried, even ones with higher claimed output and also ones with built in batteries. I am using them with the Arlo Essential XL Gen 3 and it keeps them topped up. I like how the camera recognizes that a panel is connected and shows when they are charging. The only complaint is that when the temps drop into the 30s the panels stop charging and they do not resume charging once the temperature comes up well above the stated operating range. Any time we get into the 30s I have to unplug the panels and sometimes even have to reboot the cameras to recognize they are connected again and accept a charge. OK, I waited a few weeks before submitting this and so far my cam is staying at either 100% till 2pm then after the sun moves off the solar panel, very slowly goes down. Even though I set the activity to be just over our two cars, the zone is still partially on the street, so I am getting notices for every car that passes (see white car driving by) so that means more power usage and I have the cam set to 4K, full color and high sensitivity. Thankfully I am in a cul-de-sac and only get local residents but still a lot of daily activity. So that camera every day is staying on or about 99%. The camera was easier to mount than this panel I will admit as I did cable tie the power line to hide as much as possible. I get direct sunlight from about 6:30am till about 1:00pm so the panel is working well. I'd hate to imagine if I had to change the battery every 2 weeks. At this time I highly recommend this product! Nice metal base to screw into my home but I did have to change the screws to a slightly longer screw with a better phillips head screw as the wood I was drilling into was super hard! I live in Santa Fe NM, so we get constant sunlight here. There was a day about two, a few weeks ago when our temp dropped down to about 30~40 degrees (end of winter) and the Arlo software said "too cold to charge" in the morning, but once the sun came up and the wood I screwed into is dark brown so it absorbed a little heat and started to charge, so next winter should be interesting to see if it does charge properly. Great product!! Installed it on my Pro 4 camera and haven’t had to change the battery all winter. It’s been cold and snowy and no problems with it at all. Just point it at the sun. I get about four hours a day of sun and it keeps my battery at 99% all the time. Even on cloudy days.

The new charger is inferior to the old model. I purchased this one with the assumption that it would be an improvement, but that was incorrect. If the temperature is below 30 degrees F, this will not charge. Right now, in the middle of very low cold temperatures in the NE, it will not charge because it is too cold outside (the message from Arlo, not from me). The older one that I have on another camera - works perfectly fine. I would strongly recommend against this charger - get the older one if you can. ... show more
