Once I actually read the instructions and started using this correctly, we have made some wonderful cocktails and cheeses. My favorites so far are the apple smoked old fashioned (with brown sugar simple syrup and habanero bitters), and a smokey margarita, pared with a lightly smoked cheddar cheese.

The title of this item says it is supposed to come with a torch, but it doesn't. It is a nice battery powered smoker that works very well. The instructions are a little difficult to understand mostly because of the names they use for items they are describing. Once you decipher what they are talking about then it makes a lot more sense. The included pictures in the instruction help out a lot. This would be great if it came with a dome to make it easier to smoke non-drinks, but you can get around that by putting items in a glass and then smoking them that way. Overall this is a nice set and it makes playing bartender for friends fun.

I have had a smoker that was similar to this one in the past that had some aspects I didn't love, and it also ended up not lasting. This one fixes all of the issues I had with the previous smoker. The base is very stable, so there isn't a problem with it falling over. There are two layers of mesh, with the top part being removable for easy cleaning, and the lower layer being a safeguard that ensures good airflow. The kit also came with spare mesh, so that is covered. The tube also has a flared metal tip you can put in so that you can easily insert it into whatever cover or chamber you are using. This also helps if you need to adjust the angle of the smoke. I used a cloche to smoke some tofu, and I couldn't believe how well this worked. I used the included little spoon and just two scoops of chips; smoke absolutely poured out-- it was amazing. This will be super effective for cocktails, as smoking tofu was going to be the real test! I don't have anything bad to say about this set. It came with everything you need (except the butane for the lighter, of course), and it just worked SO well. I'm keeping this smoker for me, but this is absolutely the set I would get if I was going to gift someone a cocktail smoker.

Recently we were out for our anniversary and decided to try a smoked drink for the first time and it was really enjoyable. I started looking around for a smoker but a lot of them, like cloches, were incredibly expensive. When I saw this, I figured it was worth a shot for the price. We already had a kitchen torch so that wasn't an issue for us. Hardly any of these kits come with a torch unless you're getting a really upscale one, a good torch alone runs $40-50. This weekend we made Smoked Manhattans and while not quite as good as the ones we got at dinner, they were still quite yummy, especially for a first time experiment. There are two things that could make this an improved experience though: 1 - better instructions, while not terribly difficult to figure out, it would be nice to not have to try to decipher them as much 2 - better quality wood chips, I'm pretty sure that part of the reason that the flavor wasn't as intense as we expected was due to the wood chips, I will be looking for higher quality wood chips for sure Next up: we'll be trying this on some food, it should work really well with certain items including seafood and cheese. Overall, if you're looking for an affordable home cocktail smoker, you can't go wrong with this (just make sure you have your own torch).

I got this for my brother. He loves it. He loves this better than the small simple smoker for his bourbon. He feels fancy now lol He said the wood chips are great and give a lot of flavor. No it doesn't come with a torch, he had one already so no big deal but seller should fix the detail in the title or add the torch. Overall it's great quality and the wood chips are great quality. This will make a great gift but if gifting also include a torch.

I have several smoker kits, this is the most fun to use. It comes with everything you need to make smoky cocktails except......a lighter torch. This is really no big deal. These kits infuse cold smoke flavor and do really enhance the flavor of most foods and drinks. A couple ideas are smoke cheese, salted almonds even hamburgers cooked in a frypan or sous vide foods. Take the burgers out , place on counter, smoke fill a bowel placed over a burger...then wait 3 minutes. Included with the gun smoker, 6 flavors of chips, spoon, funnel, screens, Silicone hose and drink cover. A great gift to give or get!! My disclaimer: What is a 5 Star review? It’s not a comparison to other similar products or the value or cost of what I paid for it. It’s an evaluation of the quality of just THIS product it’s craftsmanship and its durability, and its potential for me to buy THIS product again if necessary. A 5-star review says I would absolutely buy again.

The media could not be loaded. This is a lot of fun to use and a great conversation piece. The form factor allows for easy lighting, and precise control of the smoke. It comes with a variety of chip flavors that smoke and light very well. This is pretty easy to clean and maintain ensure brings a whole different vibe. I had never this way and I really like it.
