We have an in ground pool (16x32) and have been using these skimmer socks since 2022. For the cost, they are disposable. I put in a new one almost every day so there's no need to clean or wash out the sock. I put the chlorine pucks in the skimmer basket first, then install the sock. A lot of debris gets trapped in the sock so it reduces the amount of filter backwashing per season. I also use in the leaf filter basket for the pool vac. I highly recommend.

Adding an extra layer to capture smaller debris before the actual filter media makes the filter run more efficiently. Instead of cleaning the filter media every couple of weeks I was able to get by without cleaning the filter balls throughout the pool season. You can keep washing and reusing the pool socks or you can simply toss it away since you get 30 in a pack. You just need to make sure that you pull this at least once or twice a week depending on the amount of debris that goes into your pool but overall this is a lot easier and faster than cleaning the actual filter media.

Ive been using these socks for 1 week and they do very well in filtering out very small bugs/debris before it hits the filter. My only complaint is that they aren't always reusable - I use my hose to rinse out the sock and the bottom seam has come apart on most of them while rinsing. But for the price, I don't mind replacing them as needed

Great a catching the tiniest particles. My skimmer finally came in so I attached it as soon as it did put a sock in it and I saw stuff in it within 5 minutes 😳 Easy to use and install. Feels like good quality and fit the skimmer I had bought. Not a good picture I realized afterwards but there are particles in it. Can’t wait to go out later to see it after being left all night

These work to strain off the finer stuff before it gets to your sand filter. Really helped clear out pollen so I did not have to backwash as often. But the sock needed to be changed pretty often, every few hours until clear.

My pool cleaner fellow said, "You don't need pool skimmer socks -- the skimmer basket is SUPPOSE to catch the leaves, bugs, debris, etc." Well, after he retired, and I had to stick MY hand down in the skimmer, I soon bought these skimmer socks. Ohhhh, they make life so much easier! When they're dirty, just pull them off the skimmer basket and throw them in the trashcan. Don't even look at the ikky stuff caught inside there! Granted, the socks fit the skimmer basket VERY tightly, so they are a bit difficult to put on, but their tightness is what keeps them secured to the basket. It's worth the moment of effort to stretch the sock onto the basket! If the motion of the water causes the skimmer basket to rise, just put something non-metallic in the basket to weight it down. I put about a third of a brick, and that seems to do fine to keep the basket in place.
