  • Only half the price of my last pool vacuum, but it does TWICE the work!
This is my THIRD pool vacuum. Since they all seem to last about a year, I thought I'd go cheaper this time. SOOOO glad I did!! It out-performs last year's expensive blaster, which died the day after its warranty. After a small problem with the filter basket - which the seller fixed so fast I didn't have time to blink - I am LOVING this little workhorse! Most pool vacuums claim to run for forty to sixty minutes. This one says it'll run up to sixty. In my experience, they usually run under forty. My neighbour is fixing his roof. Every tiny bit of roofing material has blown into my pool. I just finished an hour and fifteen minutes of vacuuming! Got ALL that stuff up from the bottom of my pool! I wish I had had my phone with me to show you all the YUCK that I cleaned up with this little machine today, but it overheats when I leave it on the pool deck. It takes **FOREVER** to charge, but it lasts and lasts and lasts! It picks up everything except the really BIG leaves, and it doesn't like pine needles much, but it gets the job done. I usually go in the pool with it, so I can pull the pine needles out before it sucks them all the way up, leaving more room for everything else. Not that it lacks internal space, but it IS a vacuum and, just like the one in my living room, when the thing is full the suction is less. Fortunately, I was able to have a spigot installed right by the pool that I can reach while in my pool, and cleaning this is as easy as 1-2-3! It can even be fun to use. Don't tell my neighbour - I want him to think I slaved away all day - but in my little 48" x 18' round above ground, I can slap on a mask and snorkel and swim and vacuum at the same time! Cleans sand, leaves, and roofing crud. Easy to clean the large-capacity filter. Simple to put together - and I suggest you assemble the filter under water because it IS large and can hold a zillion air bubbles which get in the way of seeing what you're doing. Does it all for half the price of some of the others! ... show more

  • Sucks up DE without a problem
Phoenix, Arizona pool owner. I am impressed, I needed to get DE off the surface of my pool due to a torn cartridge and this EFURDEN Pool Vacuum (Green) really did what it said it would do, it sucked it up and there was a lot. It takes a bit of patience to walk the path to get the DE but the vacuum did it and did it well. For now, this product was well worth the money I would recommend this to other Arizona pool owners. ... show more

  • Good product
Works great. I just found it hard to keep it on the bottom of the pool. It kept wanting to float to the surface. You need to keep quite a bit of pressure on it when it's extended.

  • Suction power is weak and narrow suction month with a soft door and brushes limit the such power.
It could be designed better at this price. Right now, it's better to pick up sand, small rocks, and small leaves by lots of time. So it sounds like a toy for people to have enough time to play with. The major problem is that not enough such power. It needs to double its suction power, just imaging the pool such side using how big a bump is. One might challenge that it can have 90 minutes running time. But just imagine, how many pool owner has 90 minutes to play with it. For me, a task that takes about 30 minutes is enough time. So reducing the running time to increase the suction power is the best solution. 2nd, the bad design of such a month limit to pick up the leaves, is that slightly bigger leaves cannot pick up quickly, and some cannot be picked up at all. The month is too narrow, width is okay. just impaling why the pool such side vacuum uses a round pipe, the designer will know why the narrow month design is wrong. 3rd, the overdesigned brushes let you could not draft the vacuum to pick up debris after the vacuum because they designed an extra brush at the end side of the pickup head. Also, the two brushes at the left and right front also push the debris outside not to suck in. It’s suggested to cut these three brushes off to make it not disturb the decries before sucking them. You can also reference the design of the best sale suck head. 4th, the soft door is not needed. Before I removed the soft door, I had to stop and clean the basket after every 10 minutes because it could not suck decries anymore. After I removed the soft door, I can run it for about 30 minutes until the basket was almost full. 5th, The telescopic pole is not needed since most pool owner has a long one. This one is provided and it’s okay. But it’s too short. ... show more

Very little to no suction to pick up dirt on pool floor.

  • On my third summer and still going…
I’m on my third summer with this vacuum. I think this will be the last summer though. The filter cup has a couple holes in it and I can’t find a replacement. Also, the charging seems a bit wonky now. The light used to turn green when charged and that doesn’t happen now. It stays red. It is still going strong though. My only complaint about the vacuum itself would be it’s a little heavy and cumbersome, but I think overall it has been good and well worth the money. ... show more

  • A very good product 3
I have in the meantime read all the reviews and the questions and answers about the Efurden Vacuum. What strikes me, is, that so many buyers are over the moon with their purchase, and that some describe it as not working properly, being faulty or useless. This discrepancy can only be assessed by logical thinking: No producer for Amazon will send out faulty products (I guess there might be a less than 1 % margin of faultiness when the product arrives at the user). Therefore, the conclusion is, that the mistake is not with the product, but with the user. Thus, logically thinking, which mistakes might occur with the first time user? It could be the case, that the user doesn't study the user manual carefully with the product by his side, or even not at all!! Practice over theory. But you have to assemble or take apart the gadget with care, until you can handle the vacuum with ease, or you will damage or break the delicate parts from the very start. Getting into the swing of using it successfully will take time and patience and ever refined handling and practice, and a repeated return to the user manual, which some people think they can skip, much to their disadvantage. (Only one example: Although the manual warns about it, we did indeed drop the bottom part of the vacuum on our feet - thank heavens not breaking or damaging anything - neither gadget nor foot. Conclusion: Once bitten, twice shy.) I seems to me, that many mistakes might be connected with a broken or damaged filter, and I found the advice to put the foot end of a woman's nylon stocking over the damaged filter particularly helpful. in the meantime, while using the Efurden vacuum, I have observed milky water coming forth from the two water outlets on the side of the the main vacuum body, something which other users have complained about. The logical conclusion is, that this milky debris can pass through the fine screen of the filter because it is even finer, so that the screen allows it to pass through. But I am not entirely sure whether this conclusion is correct, because in this same cleaning instance the bigger debris all came rushing out with the water into the pool again, when I had finished the cleaning and was pulling the vacuum out of the water. What had happened? Trouble Shooting Point 2 provides the explanation: "The canopy flap which works like a door to prevent the debris from escaping from the filter" had slipped from its position down into the intake shaft below it, and had gotten stuck there. It took me quite some time to find this out, and I wonder, as I mentioned above, whether the white milky water running out of the outlets on the main body above might not be connected with this problem. I will keep observing it. We are still happy with the little Efurden Vacuum. It keeps us occupied - and it won't suck in Maple leaves, as I found out on this occasion; the opening is too small for that. Anyway, I will keep you informed about the further adventures with our little Efurden handheld vacuum. ... show more
