The non-stick coating on this cookware is called Autograph 2, it is one of the latest and best available. It is a three coat process that renders a very durable surface that can be used with metal utensils. Purchased this set to replace our ancient mis-matched and abused pots and pans. First off I wanted to see if all of the claims were factual. Cleaned in the dishwasher, used metal utensils, even cooked eggs with no oil or spray, then used our portable induction burner. I can honestly say that everything passed with flying colors, the set is up to it all! The hard anodised aluminum, which is stronger than steel, is thick and gives excellent heat distribution from the bottom and up the sides with no apparent "hot spots". Tried all of the cookware pieces on the induction burner with no problems at all. I will say that it's probably easier to clean this with just a wipe with a dishcloth and rinse, rather than use the dishwasher, the non stick is that good. Metal utensils worked fine, but we have so much of the nylon, as it was necessary with the old pots and pans, well, we use that. Could never fry eggs in the old stuff with out using some oil, not with this, the eggs just slide out. We also purchased the four quart sauce pot and the covered stir fry pan to go with this set. The lid on the four quart fits the eight inch fry pan, nice to have. Have used the covered stir fry as a wok and as a steamer. Use a small stainless rack that fits in the bottom, great for steaming. Also, it does stir fry without as much heat as the old one, suppose because the heat conduction is so much better. Am absolutely pleased with this purchase, it is tough, cooks very well and looks great! Would I purchase again and recommend this set?----You bet I would! ... show more

    • Best Cookware I Have Ever Used - and GREAT customer service!!!!!

The best cookware I have ever used! And for someone who has cooked most everyday for the past 40+ years, that's really saying something. These are strong, sturdy, even-heating and even stylish (which I never thought I would say about cookware). I have had this set about 2 months, which I used to replace the MasterClad set my husband bought for me at Costco (which was twice the price). Since we are whole-plant vegan, I cook every single day. Unlike other non-stick cookware, you do not have to continually "season" these with oil, and the food frees up easily. You can actually use metal utensils without a care (I don't think it's possible to scratch them). As an example of their durability, yesterday I accidentally left rice pudding on the stove for several hours. We came home to that sickly stench of burned starch and sugar. The food had become a solid mass, about 75% of it black. YUK! Because of the silicon handle, I was easily able to pick it up the pot and transfer it off the burner. When it had cooled a bit I filled it with water. After only about 10 minutes I decided to see if it would be at all possible to salvage the pot. I used a regular soup spoon to scrape and lift the burned food out of the pot, then a few small scrubs with the plastic scrubby and it was GOOD AS NEW! You absolutely can't tell there had been a disaster. I LOVE THESE POTS!! UPDATE: So I have owned these pots about a year and a half now, and they were definitely showing wear - the non-stick coating was wearing off and they had scratches from using metal utensils (which they say is allowed). But the pans have a lifetime guarantee, so I went to their website and complete a claim form for five of the pots (which includes photos). The interaction with Customer Service was excellent. They got back to me right away telling me the form had been accepted and was being reviewed, but that it would take 2-4 weeks for them to review and process it. I thought they would weasel out of it. Instead, only 5 DAYS LATER I received a COMPLETELY NEW SET OF PANS delivered to my front door!!!!!!! I am definitely impressed and delighted! ... show more

I was skeptical about these living up to the hype. After 3 months of use with a gas stove, I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner. So far non stick is still holding up excellently and most everything just rinses out of the pan. A quick wipe with a pepertowel after and you're good to go. Not only do they clean up easier, but they cook better, and has reduced our use of the dishwasher because they do clean up so well!! The chocolate find ish also looks great with our bronze accent pieces and stai less appliances, so that's a lovely added bonus. If you're on the fence, jump the rest of the way over and buy this set. You won't regret it. I normally just plan on purchasing new cookware yearly and have tried several brands over the years right around the $100/set mark... I foresee this outlasting that by a long shot, but can't wait to report back on long term durability!!! I researched for weeks after seeing these in store after our last t fal set started to fail (right at 1 year, warping and non stick was failing). I wish I had just ordered that first day now!! ... show more

Instead of remodeling our kitchen we remodeled our pots. Much cheaper. These are as good as everyone says in the reviews. My only complaint is that when I attempted to fry egg whites (without a non-stick spray, as directed), the eggs stuck to the bottom of the pan. (The pan makes scrambled eggs fine, as long as you move the eggs around on the pan while frying.) The pan left a coating of egg white on the bottom of the pan. I could not remove the cooked egg whites in one piece as usual. They came out scrambled. I set the pan aside before washing and the whites came loose by themselves. The pan cleaned easily with a paper towel. I've attached a picture to show the cooled pan. I have no explanation for this strange result. So now I will continue to use my old frying pan with a non-stick spray for my egg whites. Other than that we love the pots and pans. The non-stick feature works with everything else we've cooked, so far. If we run into any other issues with this set I will post an update. Overall, a worthwhile purchase. ... show more

    • Best set we have ever owned

We have been using this set for 2 months now after getting it on an Amazon Lightning Deals promo. The heavy base distributes the heat nicely and should not warp as easily as pans we have had in the past. Since we have a glass stop electric stove, a warped bottom pan can get real annoying very quickly. We have not yet tried putting them in the dishwasher as they wash easily by hand (I do regularly put the glass lids in there however, with no ill effect). They show no signs of scratching or pealing so far and the non-stick surface works well. I was a bit annoyed by the fact that this set did not come with a 12" pan, which I ordered separately, so the "deal" was not as big of a "deal" as I thought it was, but it is a very good set for a decent price. My wife was first reluctant to get pans with those circular ridges inside, but agreed after using them that they do not really bother her at all. ... show more

    • Excellent step up from old pots and pans

We bought this set to replace out heavily used, old, scratched up set of pots and pans. The difference is amazing! This set has a high quality build, that looks fantastic. I like that the pots have a little depth to them as it helps contain my normal "messy cook syndrome" We got the Chocolate color which makes a nice change from the standard black pans. A couple of comments for people thinking about upgrading, like us, from an old set of cheaper pans: 1) It takes a little while to get used to how these quick differently. The heat is even, and well distributed. I personally found pans took a little longer to heat up, but that's to be expected. This isn't a bad thing at all, just a commentary on how bad you'll realize your previous set was 2) The set is quite heavy. For me this isn't a problem, but my wife who has wrist problems occasionally sometimes complains about how her wrists her after a full day of cooking for an upcoming party 3) It's a little confusing regarding their dishwasher safety. The pots themselves say Dishwasher Safe on the bottom of them. However, there was a small insert in the packaging that said the warranty would be void if used in an automatic dishwasher. For us this doesn't matter since we hand wash our big stuff anyways, but it would be nice to know if we _could_ put them in the dishwasher without worries. Overall we're very happy with this set, and would highly recommend it to anyone. ... show more

These pans are tough and nonstick and non-fussy. Throw them in the dishwasher if you want. I do. Like I said, in the video, I bought a fry pan at the Goodwill store and it has been the best find I have ever gotten in a pan so when I was ready for a new set, I was fortunate to find a whole set exactly like the fry pan. I got it at the Goodwill store. I couldn’t be happier! Buy one you won’t regret it. ... show more
