This is rated IP44 not for heavy storms so I don't trust it during the winter to use it outside. You never know when you're going to get a really heavy storm and who wants to go out then and try and take down lights? Since that's what I got it for, I'm pretty disappointed. The little plastic star doesn't seem like ti would last in a storm either. The main concern though is the USB connection. You'll definitely have to cover it with a waterproof electrical connector for it to work. The lights are okay but don't need a dimmer for sure. Since I don't want to leave the usb plugged in all day it makes the remote not that helpful. If you want to put this on a tree and use the plastic star on the top, it should work well. It works like it's supposed to. I just envisioned it over my tall trellis outside and wish is was rated IP65. I think the manufacturer should clearly state that it may not stand up to strong storms. Otherwise it's fine. I only took off one star not informing more thoroughly and because of the USB connection. Why not just include a plug? Still it's a bargain for $16 in Nov. of '25. A more sturdy option would definitely cost more and you can get a good look for not too much money.

Nice quality and works well. The colors are bright and the remote works fine. The button on the cord also works well and is convenient to have. I was expecting a pole of some sort to be included but it is just the star and light strands. I was planning on using this in the yard but since it is USB only I am not sure I will. While the lights might be waterproof I don't have any USB chargers that I want to leave outside and hope they hold up. Also, while the dimensions given are accurate, some of the photos would need strands closer to 15+ feet to work. I would say it's a fine value for what you get.

These Christmas Star String Lights are a perfect way to add color and cheer to your holiday setup. The LEDs look fantastic once lit, and the waterfall design with the star topper creates a beautiful tree-like effect whether you use them indoors or outside. Setup was simple — just hang the strands, plug in the USB, and choose your lighting mode. There are multiple settings to pick from (steady, fade, twinkle, etc.), so you can change up the look easily depending on your mood or the occasion. The lights are bright without being harsh, and the colors are vibrant and festive. The build quality feels solid, and the lights have held up well through cold evenings and light rain. The USB power makes it convenient to plug in just about anywhere, especially if you’re decorating porches, patios, or indoor corners.

These star string lights will be fun to put up for Christmas. I was thinking that I would put them outside on an actual tree if I have a tree around 10 feet; however, I'm not sure this will work outside very well because the USB plug is not water proof. I suppose I could wrap it with something that would protect it. I may end up putting it up on the outside of my house under the eave or on a wall inside my house or on my fireplace in my outdoor room. I will come back to this review once my Christmas decorations are put up in December and include a picture of how I ultimately put up these string lights. I actually like that it doesn't come with a pole as poles are kind of a pain to put up and take down and store. I'm pretty sure that I have a pole Christmas tree in storage. LOL. It should be noted that this does not come with a power box in case you want to plug it in to an outlet. The lighting modes and brightness adjustment are nice features. I'm not entirely enamored with the plastic star, but I suppose it is similar to other stars in this price range. The lights seem bright, and the strings seem to be well-made. I am happy to have this for Christmas and can recommend it.

To be honest, I had higher expectations for this waterfall Christmas tree light. I originally intended to use it outdoors, but the star topper is made of very lightweight plastic and lacks any hook or secure attachment option for exterior setup. I also considered tying down the bottom of the light strands, but there’s no built-in way to anchor them properly. Additionally, the USB plug is clearly marked as not waterproof, which limits outdoor use. On a positive note, the included remote control with eight lighting modes, brightness adjustment, and timer settings is a nice feature. Overall, it has potential, but the design could benefit from more durable materials and better outdoor compatibility.

These star string lights are such a fun and festive addition to my Christmas decor. The package was smaller than I expected, but everything you need is inside. The light-up star topper is on the smaller side, but it’s bright and adds the perfect finishing touch. The strands come bundled together, so it’s best to untangle them gently before hanging — the wire is flexible and easy to work with. I love all the different lighting modes and color options, and the remote makes switching between them super convenient. You can also press the button on the plug if you prefer. The brightness is adjustable too, which is a great bonus. Just note that you’ll need your own power cube since it’s not included. My plan is to hang these in front of my porch for Christmas, and I can already tell they’re going to look stunning. Such a fun, versatile light set!

These lights worked for about 10 seconds when I first plugged them in, not even enough time to cycle through all of the lighting patterns. The looked nice while they lasted but there's no way I could recommend these to anyone. These are basically just fairy lights that all come together under the star. Cool idea and they're nice and inexpensive, but the quality is just not there. I've tried other power sources and they still won't turn back on.
