  • Perfect replacement!
Size: 20,000 Gallon
Perfect replacement for the Intelichlor 20 salt generator. My Intellichlor cell went bad and kept blowing fuses. It only lasted 4 years. So I didn't want to replace it with the same one as I was extremely disappointed, not just in how short the lifespan was, but at the replacement cost. I researched this one and not only was it priced MUCH better, it has more features! First off, it is an exact fit. I literally unscrewed the bad one, took it off, put this one on, screwed it in to the existing pipe threads and plugged it in. It ran through the flow test cycle (which was faster than the Intelichlor) and was up and running in less than 5 minutes. Extra feature I LOVE is that it shows you the salt ppm. I use to have to test it manually. This makes life so much easier just by the push of a button. I just installed it but so far, bang for the buck, you cant beat it. I don't usually rave over stuff, but so far, SO good. If anything changes, I will update. If you need to replace your old Intelichlor or are looking for your first one, you cant go bad with this! ... show more

  • Seems great, but customer service?
Size: 60,000 Gallon
I bought the 60K gallon model to replace my failed Pentair Intellichlor IC40 (40k gallon model) which lasted less than 2 full years. So much for brand names. The only trouble I had was working out that the water was initially too cold for the generated to generate chlorine. It would go "all lights green" when initially powered on but then go to a single red LED (Warning, inspect cell) and stay there. There's a dedicated "water too cold" LED has never come on, but guess what? My water was simply too cold. I was opening up a few weeks before I thought anyone would be swimming, so I didn't turn the heater on yet, and my water was just a little over 50° F. I turned on the heater and got the water over 60° and it's been working ever since. Since it's a bigger model, I can run it fewer hours per day and maintain my chlorine level just fine. Now for the not so good: Why did the "cold water" LED not light up to inform me that was the issue? I think it's because, technically, this unit is supposed to be able to generate at 52°, which is why I think the LED never came on. Our water was being reported as 54° (but also who knows how accurate the sensor even is). They should make some adjustments to make that work better. Perhaps allow for a wider margin of error and have the LED light up at a slightly warmer temperature or provide its own measurement. I did a google AI search to learn that the water should be at 60° or higher in order to reliably generate chlorine, otherwise I may have never figured out what was going on. Now for the bad: I emailed ChlorWorks tech support 2 weeks ago, twice, and to this day have received no response or acknowledgement. Your only recourse is going to be Amazon customer service and support here, I guess. Last: One of the selling points is supposedly that you can replace just the internal cell when it wears out. I have yet to find anywhere, including the ChlorWorks website, where you can actually buy one. ... show more

  • Great Product. Good Customer Support
Size: 20,000 Gallon
Direct replacement for the Pentair Intellichlor. Initial start up the screen indicated "detecting flow". It takes about a minute before the unit stops checking flow and begins operating. It intricated low salt. This is correct. Our pool is drained blow the skimmer for winter. We always need to add salt when adding fresh water at opening of the pool. A 40 bag was added. However, the good flow light was not green. The pump was set at 2080 gpm. Plenty of flow. I contacted customer service. They responded timely. But, while I waited for a response I decided to shut off the unit and restart it. Once I did, the LED were green on the panel indicating it was working as designed. After 12 hours running I checked chlorine levels, it does appear to be generating chlorine. Customer service did respond timely. Even on a Saturday! Appears to be a very well made product. Sturdy construction. It comes with every type of connection for multiple pipe connections. Instructions are clear. Overall, I'm pleased with the product. Hopefully I get many years out of it. ... show more

  • Cheaper than Pentair-more features!
Size: 20,000 Gallon
This seems to be better than the original Pentair unit. I hope it lasts longer than the original, time will tell.

  • So Far A Great Salt Cell
Size: 20,000 Gallon
Plug for plug replacement for the Pentair - good display. Does not report salt level on the Easy Touch panel. Replacable salt cell is an attractive feature since I have been replacing salt cells every few years

I am giving them a five star because of the customer service. We have been trying for a month to get this cell to work but no luck. They offered to ship a free replacement but cant send itvto hawaii. So they did get me a full refund. Doesn't solve my pool problem, but they do stand behind there product. All lights are green, salt cell at 100%, replaced my old cell but this one doesn't cut down on algae. ... show more
