  • Used in garden
I used this craft wire in my garden to cover pots that had been planted but not sprouted to keep squirrels from digging up my seeds. The wire was sturdy but malleable around the pots and it did the trick to keep pests out!

  • It is what it is!
It’s chicken wire and acts like chicken wire haha I used this to put inside a frame and hold my silk flowers and it did just the trick. I will say thought that on the side edges it is VERY sharp and pokey so that is my only complaint. I know that’s to be expected but just a word of warning <3

  • Not Ideal for Tree Protection
This IS more sturdy than plastic mesh, but as far as wire goes, it's very thin. That does make it a little easier to shape, and if definitely needs shaping as it comes rolled tightly, and tends to retain that shape. I intended to use it around some recently planted trees, but it's rather small for that. Note the dimensions of about 13 x 39 inches. The combination of size and sturdiness makes me believe that if the deer really want my tree, this won't even slow them down. It may be fabulous for other uses, but not great for protecting my trees. ... show more

  • Small amount
Standard wire overall. No complaints on the quality just a bit less than I thought it would be.

  • Smaller Openings Make This Short Length Chicken Wire Good for Keeping Birds In or Out
The Chicken Wire arrived in a tight roll that is secured with plastic wrap. I was able to find the end of the plastic wrap and unwind it while holding the roll tightly. I was afraid of the wire popping out, with good reason, as the cut ends are sharp and could puncture the skin. The wire roll loosens, but wants to keep it’s rolled curve, so getting it to flatten or reshape requires four hands (or two hands and two feet), some heavy weights, and a constant vigil for those sharp ends. After I tamed it, I left it outside in the rain for two days to see if it would rust. I am pleased to report that there’s no visible rust after the rain exposure. My plan was to cut tube-shaped frames to protect newly planted seeds and young plants in my raised garden from unwanted digging by birds and rodents, so I was pleased to see the smaller holes than “regular” chicken wire usually has. I found that the roll was actually 14-2/16” wide and about 39” long, so slightly wider than expected and it all worked out perfectly for me. I found it easy to cut and shape after a couple of days being weighted down flat. If the size of the roll and openings fits your purpose, this seems to be a good choice. ... show more

  • I do think it is a good buy for someone who doesn't need an industrial sized roll of chicken wire.
I got this chicken wire for my brooder since my little wild chicks were sticking their heads out, jumping out of their cage, and god knows what else. It was very easy to wrap around the metal dog crate and secured with twisty ties. I will be buying another roll when available. I do think it is a good buy for someone who doesn't need an industrial sized roll of chicken wire. I am disabled I could not work with all that. ... show more

  • Nice strong chicken wire.
I ordered this chicken wire to use around some plants in my garden this Spring. It is made of Hot-dipped galvanized, is soft yet flexible and is a very strong wire so should work perfectly for this. Although I haven’t tried cutting it yet, when I do I will need to purchase a pair of stainless steel scissors. You get a lot of wire for just $5.99. I am comfortable recommending this product. ... show more

  • Crafting wire
I selected this roll of chicken wire to be used in our garden area. There are small spots at the base of the fence where wooden slats have rotted away leaving an opening for problematic creatures to enter. The old fence would be too much work to replace, so this small roll of chicken wire is to serve as small bandaids for these vulnerable open spots. I would say that the quantity of the chicken wire is so much less than any other type i have found in the past. Though the quantity is ample enough to fix the small issues in mind, i would say it is likely more suited for a craft arsenal as stated in the product listing- whether to be used on embellishing wall decor or to give structure to a budding sculpture. Either way, the product is as advertised and would be a good fit for someone who needs just a little chicken wire as opposed to the larger size & diameter for bigger projects. ... show more
