These door handles have everything you need to install them correctly and come with a black strike plate. It installs with 4 screws total. If the strike plate does not catch the new doorknob, then use a grinder to grind the strike plate slightly larger after checking to see where it is hitting it. It is much easier to grind or dremel the strike plate than to use a chisel on the door frame to adjust the strike plate. The screw holes are usually to close to the old screw holes and then you have to putty the woodwork. Also my door hole was not deep enough for the strike plate mechanism, so I simply used a hex bit grinder bit to shave out 1/4" and it fit perfectly. ... show more

I recently switches all of my door knobs to black in lieu of the old brassy gold ones that came with the house. After we out on an addition I changed one coat closet that is right next to the kitchen into a second pantry and these passage door knobs did the finishing touch. Great value for two (compared to our local hardware store), and are of the highest quality. Easily installed - my husband did it, but it looked like it was a cinch! Highly recommend! This is a basic black doorknob which is great for interior doors. It comes with all the pieces and is simple to install. I had two issues with the doorknob. There is a spare very long screw that I wasn’t sure what to do with. Also, the two screws that are put into the doorknob base plate do not look great. They are very rough looking screws that do not match the stying of the doorknob. Also, the screws are typically flush with the doorknob base plate, but these are smaller than the holes in the doorknob and leave big gaps. The doorknob is still held securely in place, but it just doesn’t look finished and I imagine that it will be hard to clean.
