The coop arrived in a timely manner and I was able to put it together rather quickly despite somewhat poor instructions and some of the holes being pre-drilled in the wrong location. The wood breaks and dents rather easily...not great for predator territory. When our hens (Rhode Island Reds) go into the nesting boxes, they don't quite fit and often end up with their chests or bottoms sticking out into the perch area - which means we get eggs in there instead of the nesting boxes. came with cracked boards/cardboard and boards off places that was supposed to be factory set not to be assembled.The wood is very low grade. Screws don’t stay in, it’s like screwing into drywall. The first couple of times the hatching area was opened the screws came out. (pictures included) This area is meant to be opened frequently for removing eggs and screws came out first couple of times it’s because the very poor quality of the wood. The picture shown in the sales page is deceiving it doesn’t look like the picture the cross wood area at the top is white in the picture what I got wasn’t now the color is not important it’s just how I identified it when ordering. It’s just another way I feel I was deceived from what the picture looked like to what I actually got. The size is another way I was deceived it is so small the picture gives you an illusion of being much bigger. Please do not order this you will be very disappointed ... show more

    • Be careful how many chickens you get

This small coop is maybe good for Bantam chickens since they don’t get big. But maybe 4 at the most. It’s not suited for more than two regular size chickens, it is toooo small for more than that. I bought it for my 2 roosters to get them away from my 3 hens. And there is no where’s to run when one starts picking on the other. I had to buy a big chicken coop from tractor supply for my hens. These chicken coops on here are cheaply made and over priced! It’s ok for temporarily. I normally don’t rate anything on here unless it’s really good or very bad! ... show more

Wasn't as easy as the directions said, took about two hours or so. things didn't fit as easy as it was supposed to, letters on the parts were faded and some didn't even had a letter on it... It's easy to assemble but wood is cheep quality and splinters easily. Not durable. It is a good starter coop but not for use outside city, animals can easily get in.

This chicken co-op is the worst. If I had known how small it was I never would have considered it. It is very deceiving and uncomfortable for one chicken let alone her and her peeps. I have to shut her in it to keep the chicks from falling out and now I'm afraid they're going to suffocate since it's so hot out. It should at least have some kind of a screen so they can breathe and get some air. Whoever designed this did not have chickens. It was poorly designed And very easy for raccoons or other predators to break into. It looks a lot bigger than it is. I had to put it inside my fence run because it just wasn't safe with predators.
