  • A good value, some issues.
After doing a lot of research on chicken run kits I picked this one for the price and what appeared to be the ease of assembly. I have never bought anything from amazon with no reviews, but the chickens were getting bigger and this one shipped the fastest. The box arrived in good condition. We were happy to see this kit included wire snips, very nice. Taking advice from other reviews on different sets, we purchased our own zip ties. This includes zip ties but they are super flimsy and not nearly enough are provided. I hope you like zip ties because you're gonna use a lot to secure the chicken wire. We uses about 2 packages of green outdoor rated NYLON zip ties. We began this project at about 10:30 in the morning. The frame snaps together easy peasy. My husband and I had the frame up in 10 minutes. Feels really sturdy but light enough to move. The door construction was where it got tricky. It takes a bit of abstract thinking. Directions are included and there is a nice picture break down of parts but there are zero written instructions, only pictures. As we worked on the door we realized that we would be using metal piercing screws (included) however, we lacked the proper drill bit. These are hex screws and you will need a 5/16" driving bit to place them. We were also missing two of the screws. So a trip to lowes and 10 dollars later we were able to place the screws and finish the door. We moved the frame outside to where we wanted the run to be and began working with the chicken wire. I can not imagine anyone being able to do this by themselves. We could've used 2 extra sets of hands. Start at the base, do the roof, the door, and then fill in the open spots. This is time consuming between the wrapping, cutting and zip ties. Take your time. We got everything covered in wire and it feels fairly secure, though we will be adding another layer of heavier poetry fencing to the bottom to keep out predators. The tarp seems of good quality and was easy to apply. It feels pretty stable and but we bought extra stakes to keep in from blowing over. We put our started coop inside and the chicks spent thoer first night outside in the set up last night. We gave 3 chick that are about 5 1/2 weeks old and I think this will be a decent run for them. We finished the assembly at about 4:30 pm (started at 10:30am) Over all pretty pleased. I think its a good value for what you get, we even have quite a bit of chicken wire leftover. Disappointed that the kit was missing two screws and that the instructions didn't tell us we'd need a specific drill bit to complete the project. I've never built anything like this before but you can do it with a little help. I would recommend this if you're getting started with backyard chickens as we are. ... show more

  • It works well enough.
Size: 3mx2mx2m
Its flimsy and all zip tied together. But you get what you pay for and it works. Thats what matters most. It keeps my four chickens safe and inside and for the price thats all you can ask. The netting is a very thin wire material thats strong enough to keep chickens and other birds in but probably wouldnt keep out a determined predator. So if youre worried about that maybe this one isn't for you. The weather proof tarp is actually too short to reach all the way to both sides so it looks awful. I havent had any rain or harsh weather yet so u cant say how itll actually function but aside frim being ugly and short i believe it'll be ok. And the fasteners they give you for it is basically useless so again you must resort to zip ties. Which by the way. Be sure to buy plenty extra because you'll need way more then they provide. All in all it works and thats good enough. ... show more

  • ¡♡Estoy encantada con estos corrales♡!
Llegaron a tiempo y bien empacados. ... show more

  • Ehhh
I wouldn't recommend this product if you are trying to keep critters from getting after your chickens. A raccoon will be through this thing in about 5 minutes - a dog, maybe 10. It is not made with very sturdy materials so I imagine this thing will be little more than a tetanus hazard by next spring. It is easy to put together until you get to the part where you have to cut the chicken wire yourself. The chicken wire is attached using zip ties. This will not hold up for long and you need about twice as many zip ties as are provided. I probably should have known what I was getting by the price and should have read further into the description - this lightweight chicken wire will really only ensure more chickens die when something does get in. On the plus side, investing in some clear sheeting will allow for a quick greenhouse on a budget. ... show more

  • Best deal for this size cage
Quick and easy install. Comes with a nice pair of "golden tiger tools" snips 👍 the only drawbacks are the door hinges seem poorly designed and the cover fits a little small.

  • Tarp too small
Only 3 stars as the tarp is too small it won't cover edge to edge ...

  • Nice enclosure
It is a great little run for our chickens. We attached the enclosure to the edge of our coop and cut access holes between both. We have a hawk problem so we cannot free range so this gives our hens the extra room to move around.
