Assembly was straightforward, and I was able to put it together myself with help from my 5-year-old. The instructions were easy to follow, and all the parts fit together without any major issues. Once assembled, it felt surprisingly sturdy and well-built for a prefabricated coop in this price range. The wheels are a nice feature, and overall it seems like it will hold up well with normal use. The only thing I'd point out is the advertised capacity. It says 6–8 chickens, but in my opinion that's pretty optimistic. If you're prioritizing comfort and adequate space, I'd recommend no more than about 4 standard-sized hens. I'm currently using this as a temporary coop while I build a larger permanent structure, and it's been perfect for that purpose. Easy to put together with 2 people. My guinea pig loves it. He gets to go out during the day he is plenty safe and has so much more space to move around. He is very happy.

Solid materials and fun to assemble. (Took me an hour to sort out the parts and review the instructions, but only a couple of additional hours with my son handling the electric screwdriver.) There isn't much space if you have more than 5 adult chickens so disregard the "10-15 chickens" descriptor. We extended it with one of the walk-in chicken run kits. This is absolute JUNK and a waste of money. Just go buy the wood and make it yourself. I wish I had used the money that I used for this to buy wood to do it myself because I can guarantee it would have been better. I just purchased this a couple months ago and within a couple weeks the shingles fell off the inside. Then the corners started separating and its so wobbly now the roof that opens doesnt line up and it is UNSAFE from predators. If you're going to have to "remodel it" or do things to it when you first buy it to make it safe or weather proof or STURDY, you might as well buy the supplies and built one because youre already putting in work. ... show more

My husband and I spent a lot of time searching for a chicken coop before deciding on this one. Big mistake. While we like the overall design, the quality is poor. My biggest complaint is that it is not made with hardware cloth. The wire on the coop is not predator proof. If you have a completely fenced backyard or are not concerned at all about predators it might work. For us, we live by a creek and have raccoons. We are going to have to spend an additional $100 at least to add hardware cloth not to mention all the time it is going to take to add the hardware cloth over the existing wire mesh. I blame myself for not reading more carefully and noting that the description just says durable and sturdy metal wire fence. However, I am able to bend the wire rather easily so I am sure it will not stand up to a raccoon. One of the four boxes arrived damaged and the company was quick to respond and offer a partial refund. Good customer service but not what we were hoping for. ... show more
