Cheap materials Latches are terrible

We have four chicken runs on our homestead. We produce eggs, meat birds, and biddies for sale. We recently bought some rare breed biddies and have them to about 3 weeks old now. Two of our other pens are for breeding. In one, we have an Black Austrolorpe Rooster and 4 Black Austrolorpe Hens. The second contains our Gem Sapphire Rooster. He runs the place and has his own coop. We place several of the Gem Sapphire Hens in his pen from our layer pen when we are ready for biddies. All of our pens were built from scratch and we have never been fond of these prefaced pens, specifically because of their low quality materials and ridiculous prices. About a week after we obtained our most recent breeding pair, I sustained a pretty serious back injury and knew I wasn't going to be building a new coop and house for them and started looking for alternatives. We wanted to find something that the breeder pair we bought could get to 20 weeks in, so that I would recover and build them a larger domain to raise chick's in. I was actually making another purchase when this popped up in suggested items. What immediately drew me to it was the higher reviews it had in comparison to most of the other prefab chicken coops. The design was exactly what we needed with a run that is the full length of this smaller coop. It continues under the house and provides just a little more space for a smaller coop. What's good about it? First is the tongue and groove construction of the house itself. It is NOT made with the thin wood that most of these prefab houses are built with, and seems thick enough to keep predators out. Second, The balance of the wood is good quality and the coop presents a nice appearance. The House Floor is a steel slide out for easy cleaning. Two perches near the floor give ample clearance for larger birds to Rooster. Galvanized Hardware Cloth is already attached to the respective pieces, although it seems to be only 23 Guage. The Asphalt Roof Covering is solid and properly attached. Easy assembly What's not so good. The Hardware Cloth is attached on the inside of the frames, not the outside, as it should be for safety. It feels flimsy when pressed on and there is no doubt that determined predators could get past this. ( We remedied this by attaching 19 Guage, Black Coated Hardware Cloth on the outsides of each panel that came with theirs attached on the insides. The hardware, specifically the latches on the outer doors are small slide latches that even a lazy raccoon could figure out. We replaced these with simple hasps and Carabiners. For the money, this is a pretty solid, attractive prefab chicken house and seems to be constructed to hold up a few years. I would buy this again if I was ever in this same situation. ☆☆☆☆ Solid 4 Stars

I recently got this 80" chicken coop for my 4 chickens, and I love it! It’s really roomy, so my hens have plenty of space to roam, sleep, and lay eggs comfortably. I appreciate the raised nesting boxes and anti-slip ramp—it makes them feel safe and happy. The construction feels solid and weatherproof; it has held up well in rain and snow so far. Cleaning is super easy with the slide-out tray, which saves me a lot of time. The included training eggs were a nice touch to help my chickens get used to the nesting boxes. Overall, I’m very happy with this coop—it’s sturdy, spacious, and keeps my flock safe.

Easy to assemble and looks great. The materials are of high quality and it provides lots of space for my 4 chickens. The ability to access the inside from multiple doors is very helpful and the outside access to the layer box is a great feature.

Easy to move around and a perfect starter coop for our chicks. And my hubby said the instructions were pretty simple to follow and quick to put together.

4-6 chickens will not be happy in this tiny coop. With an attached yard, it is great as a night time secure space. It's sturdy enough and not hard to put together.
