Ok I won’t lie I actually like this product. I got the wine red, my hair was light brown. It gave me my red hair that I love. (Color red varies based on your current hair color). Before use!!!!! Make sure to have your own gloves the ones that come with it are way too big! Also use Vaseline or other skin protector around base of hair and ears to help not dye skin. If not rubbing alcohol works if used shortly after it gets on skin. Also have a shower cap or something to wrap hair while color sits. Product comes out as two separate pumps, so rub product together to mix before putting in hair. This product is THICK and STICKY. It is not a “shampoo” don’t put it on like one. To get all layers of hair best to section it out and go sections at a time from root to tip (thick hair girls this is a must for us!) It doesn’t smell bad but it doesn’t smell good either. It’s a neutral smell in my opinion. I let product sit on my hair for an hour and a half as my hair is thick and I wanted a deeper color of red for my hair. When washing this red bleeds like all other reds, I washed until water ran clear to prevent hair from bleeding after wash. (This process took a while, again thick hair) I followed up with the hair mask from this brand as well since I have thick frizzy hair. I was very satisfied with my results, even if some of my deeper layers were missed. When blow drying my hair to see the final results the smell really was not great, I am not 100% if this from the hair color or mask. So just be prepared for that. If you are thinking about this as an option go for it. I still have so much product left for another few touchups.

I’m impressed with the results of this hair color. First off, please ignore the buzz word “natural” in their description. This is far from natural. Second, it says it works in as little as 15 minutes. That’s really not going to work for the color to develop and cover stubborn white hairs. I left my color in for 30 minutes. Next time I will leave it in for 40. I have a decent amount of white hairs coming in as I’m almost 50. I have naturally auburn hair and wanted to cover the white hair as naturally as possible without dealing with boxed dye. I definitely wanted to avoid looking like I’d colored my hair with a fake red color. I also didn’t want to go too brown and leave out my red tones. I chose the color cherry brown. I put on gloves I got from Amazon, I use nitrile gloves because they fit better. I have hip length hair so it took almost the whole bottle to color all my hair. This is convenient because with box dye I have to buy 3-4 boxes. After leaving it on for 30 minutes I rinsed it out and washed my hair with sulfate free shampoo and conditioned it. The color doesn’t stain your skin, tub, or any surfaces it gets on. I dripped a lot while putting it in my hair and it wiped up easily with bathroom spray. It covered my white hairs and matches my natural color amazingly well. It’s lighter than I expected so I think that’s why I’ll leave it in longer next time. Now comes the test of time. How long will it last and cover the white hairs? I hope at least a few weeks. I’ll update once I have had it in my hair for a few weeks. Note: it did make my scalp a little itchy and it did dry out my hair a little bit. My hair needed a little extra conditioning and tlc after using this. My scalp was a little dry for a couple days too. I think that’s a me thing because I use preventative minoxidil. I wish I’d taken a before picture, but alas, I don’t have one. You can see in the photos, at my scalp, the lightest hairs are the white ones that have been colored. Hope this helps. Update: it’s only been about a week and some of my white hairs are already showing. It seems the color rinses out pretty fast. I don’t want to be coloring my hair constantly. I took away another star bringing the color down to three stars. It’s still a decent color for your hair but it’s not anything special. It isn’t very lasting. That’s my take on it.
