I got this 52 inch ceiling fan to use in a bedroom. I have an old outdated one that seemed to have slowed down to only one setting working, and it's the slowest setting. This is a more modern fan with reversabile blades, that are black on one side and brown on the other. I'm choosing to install with the black side. I also have a 2nd one of this style and will install in a 2nd bedroom in the home. I'm wanting a more matching look between both bedrooms. The old fan had multiple lights. This fan carrys one light in the middle, it's made of plastic and all other parts are made of metal and wood, which I'm hoping is bright, because I like all my rooms to be bright for a better vision or look in the bedroom, or any room in the house. It has a remote that works for the fan and the light which can turn on and off separately. Will update once installed ... show more

I hate installing ceiling fans. They are heavy, cumbersome, and you need 3 hands to get it done. NOT the case with this sleek unit from Passky which is nice, and light, and easy to install with only 2 hands ! I installed it in what we call the "fire room" because our main wood stove is located there, in the center of the house, and the fan's job is to blow that heat throughout the house. This fan is more than adequate for the job, and can really move some air, and the best part is...it's so quiet compared to our old one. The fan blades are reversible with one side black, and the other a simulated wood grain which was what I intended to use to match my rustic decor, however, I went with the black blades to match the fan unit which is a much more contemporary look, and we love it ! It's perfect size to do the job in the room, and it looks great with the black blades that make it stand out in the room. The light is a round LED which isn't really ornate, but it's incredibly easy to keep clean, and works great. You can adjust brightness, and light "color" with the remote, as well as operate the fan, and make sure you don't lose that remote as there are no pull chains to operate the fan otherwise. We keep the remote on the wall, and use it like a wall switch. The ease of installation, sleek look, and great performance make this fan a great buy at this price, and it's easy to keep clean too ! This fan would be a lot more expensive if it were one piece for piece offered by one of the major lighting and fan companies. It's a bargain and a snap to assemble. This is my 2nd Passky fan. The instructions are a work of art in how cleanly laid out they are. There's a QR code for a video if you get stuck (you won't). The screws and hardware is all separated by task type. The instrument even give you encouragement. The material quality of the unit is not cheap looking, and doesn't feel like it will fall apart. The fan is super quiet and puts out a nice breeze. It will push air down or pull it upwards without having to leave your seat The light switches manually to 3 different temperatures. I also like that you can dim the light with the remote.
