  • It works well
I started off buying name brand bits for top dollar for my CNC. But as I'm getting more and more experience I'm realizing that these lesser known brands offer excellent value. Before I had a very limited assortment if styles which limited what I could do. Not any more. This bit works well for a second pass after using a 1/4" bit for roughing the work. It's very sharp and I didn't experience any slipping in my spindle. A quick measurement shows it's made to a very exact specifications. The diameter is easy to understand but the length is a bit more confusing though. What I want to know is how long the part of the bit that's exactly 1/8" in diameter. The length in the ad shows the over all cutter length including the tapered part that I wouldn't use. ... show more

  • Limited Utility
This bit has a really short cutting length (~1/2"), so it's really only good for 1/4" plywood or something similar. It's also narrow at 1/8", so it's good for getting in spots that don't have a lot of room to maneuver, such as tracing templates. But because it's so narrow, you have to use care and not apply too much pressure, or it could bend and snap. You have to go slow. The price wasn't expensive, but it wasn't cheap either. I think I'd prefer to spend a little more and get something a little thicker and with a longer cutting length because with this one, it seems to have limited utility. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with the bit, it's a good one, it's just that the price to utility ratio isn't great overall. If the specs are what you're looking for, go for it, I just thought it should be pointed out. ... show more

  • Excellent for fine detail wood working
I like the size of this router bit for doing fine designs in wood to make pieces stand out such as desks, shelving, jewelry boxes or anything made out of wood that you want to customize with that artistic flair. I would not go smaller than this bit unless you are really doing very very fine detail work. I also got the 1/8" version of this bit and I am afraid to use it almost due to how fine the point is. This one though fits that happy spot for cutting detail designs that are just the right size. You can also use this to put a very fine edge around table tops, desks or counter tops though I am looking to use it for cutting designs and images using a smaller cnc machine. ... show more

  • Great bit
I got a couple different sizes including this one and they came well packaged and protected. It installed into router as it should and cut very smoothly through wood. This is a very handy bit for decorate purposes or fitting wood together and light trimming. I am very pleased with bit.

  • Sharp!
I have been testing a few different Sharpro CNC bits in my AnoleX 6030 machine with a WEN router (Makita clone) as the spindle and they are SHARP! This one has a 1/4 shank so it fits larger routers which is nice, but the smaller 1/8 shoulder down to the cutting end has me concerned about how long it will last without breaking. The flutes are crisp and the ground edges are sharp, the end is very sharp and cuts well in 6061 aluminum! ... show more

  • Solid, inexpensive bit.
Very nice machining with a smooth shank and two flawless flutes. Protected against rust and delivered in a protective container.

  • approximately 1/8 inch x 7/16 depth of cut.
this bit will allow you to do fine cuts but warning it has a max depth of 12mm (less than 1/2 inch) it will make nice engravings and because it has a 1/4 inch Shank you can cut a bit more aggressively. Warning the bit has some flex and tight tolerance cuts may not perform as expected. I'm happy using it to engrave. ... show more

  • It is what it says it is
This is exactly what it says it is, an upcut spiral router bit. It fits nicely in my router with a 1/4 inch collet. it works nicely.
