I wanted a semi-flush light with a fan for my dining room to replace an older fixture, so when this one came on my recommended list, I decided to give it a try. I have to say, I was not impressed when I took it out of the box - it looked too plasticky. Disappointment increased when I tried to install it, and realized that in the mounting bracket, the screw holes were not aligned with the openings in the brackets that hold the body of the light (see picture). Still, there was a way to install it, so I proceeded... Installation took me about 40 minutes, most of which really consumed in taking the older, heavy fixture out. I'd say putting this one up took about 15 minutes total. I needed a small flathead screwdriver and a wire stripper for it, your needs may vary depending on what you are installing it on. I kind of like it being lightweight, compared at least to my previous light fixture. Turning it on, I was surprised by how bright it can be. I love the fact that you can change light temperature. The fan is something I really wanted - it is maybe too small for the room it is in, but it still makes a difference. Now, to control it, you have two options. The first is to use the provided remote control. You are going to need two AAA batteries for it. Using it is straightforward, but, to be honest, mine is a bit temperamental. The second option is to use an app - the light will connect to your phone using Bluetooth. I had no trouble installing the app on my Samsung Galaxy S10+. Pairing it required reading the instructions, which are not the clearest ever, but it took me less than 5 minutes to have everything up and running. The app interface had me startled for a minute, but past the initial confusion, all works great. It's a good-looking light (actually looks way better on the ceiling than it looked when out of the box), dimmable, and with color temperature choices. It can get brighter than I thought, and it does not hog up space as my old fixture did. Other than my initial quality concerns, I think it fulfills its purpose for the time being. Only time will tell how long it will last.

Great design with a lot of features. The fan can be adjusted to pretty crazy speeds, which is great for the summer. Airflow is pretty narrow, you have to be standing/sitting right under it to feel anything, but it does a great job of circulating air. The light is nice in that you can change the color temp and brightness. My favorite part is the remote, making controlling it a breeze!

We ordered this for a nursery, and it is absolutely perfect. The white is so gender neutral, and blends with any decor. The fan has adjustable speeds, and the light is dimmable. Bright when I need bright, all the way down to a soothing night light. The fan is reversible so it is great for both winter and summer. I can turn on the fan only, the light only, or both. There are 3 different light temperatures, and the remote automatically "remembers" the last setting. I can use the remote, or download the app. There are quite a few different speeds on the fan. For the price, this fan has absolutely everything we need! I'm not so sure I'd install it in a more formal type of room, but that is probably subjective. Great product, great features, great price!
