I didn't know what to expect with these goggles. I've seen them priced well into the 4-figures so I wasn't sure how the quality of these would be... but I was VERY pleasantly surprised!. I went outside in almost complete darkness and it appeared that I had a bright spotlight in the deep dark forest. I was amazed and so were my daughters. The clarity of what you could see with these was amazing. We have a family of owls that live in the forest behind our house and I'm excited to go out and spot them. There are adjustment knobs that allow you to fine tune the picture to bring it into clear focus. Another bonus of these goggles is the ability to record what it is you are looking at. Great for when I'm finally able to spot the family of owls! You can record photos or video on the supplied 32gb card These goggles offer a ton of features for the money and I definitely recommend them for the casual nighttime viewer of nature.

I do wish the visor that you look into, would conform to the face a little more and I'd also like a way to strap this to my head for hands free use. That being said, it's very cool item and works great. You can see the infrared light on the right side of the binocular looking parts on the front. Inside the viewer, it's like a little led screen that shows the night vision video in real time. Pretty cool and great for the price point listed on this. To get better you're going to have to pay a whole lot more than this.

Pros: -The IR/night vision works pretty well. -The case is pretty convenient to put everything in. Cons: -Looking into the screen I actually get a feeling of motion sickness. I'm not sure if its from the low refresh rate of the screen or if that is just me, but I can't use it for more than a few seconds at a time. -The inner design of the viewing window is awkward. My peripheral vision pics up the sides of the inner housing while viewing it and causes my eyes to struggle and focus on the screen. -The rubber nose/eye piece is not ergonomically formed so it let’s too much light in and makes it an uncomfortable and awkward experience to use it. -The cover on the charging port is kind of annoying to put back on, sealing all the way around the edge.

These night vision goggles are certainly a neat concept and they don’t lack features. There’s quite a bit to do with these and while everything in general does work, the image quality is what sets this product back. You receive the goggles themselves along with six included AA batteries that are needed to power the device, a carrying case, neck strap, instructions, a cleaning cloth, a USB cable for image transfer, and a USB card reader for image transfer as well. In addition day and night vision, this device can record video and take pictures. You’ll need a separate SD card for this, but there is a small one included to get yours started along with a USB cable and SD card reader for image transfer to a computer or other device. Very nice of them to include these, particularly the SD card transfer device which includes USB-C, USB-A, and Lightning connectors. The carrying case is serviceable, though the size of the goggles prevents the case from closing if other accessories are placed in the accessory pocket. You also get a strap to allow you to place the goggles around your neck and the goggles also have the ability to mount to a tripod as well. So all in all it’s fairly comprehensive in terms of features and everything does work, including night vision which I had a lot of fun with initially. And there’s certainly a big novelty factor here, but after a while it wears off. Because unfortunately, the image quality itself, whether it’s day or night vision, is more often than not grainy at best and completely blurry at worst. While the ability to take pictures and video is available, the goggles feel more like a pair of digital binoculars. Meaning you’re usually focused on a small area that’s zoomed in on and moving the view to a different location usually requires you to re-adjust the focus using the lens as well as the digital zoom to get another somewhat clear image. And you’re not guaranteed a clear image in many cases. With the constant re-adjusting of the focus and zoom with no guarantee of a clear image, you can easily go from fun to frustration if you’re looking to actually do serious picture or video work using this product. Basically, this is a toy. Not to say that there isn’t fun to be had, it certainly has its novelty and there’s plenty of functionality to explore. But for something like this, image quality is a big deal and unfortunately that’s where this product falls short significantly. I wouldn’t recommend this for serious video and picture work but if you’re looking to experience basic night vision for nothing more than a few laughs, this may do the trick. At the price it currently commands however, it would also be best to consider other options that may tout better image quality as well.
