  • Seems pretty well made but mounting screws not what is required
Size: M- Inner size: 6.18"(W) x 6.3"(H) Color: White
This unit seems pretty well made, although just plastic, and I like the fact that the door is on the outer surface AND that it has a "sleeve" between the front and back to hopefully seal the inner portion of the door opening. However, it is designed to use #6 sheet-metal screws but the ones provided are WAY TO SHORT! My exterior door is 1 11/16" thick, so I needed screws that were 2 1/4" long to go through the clearance holes on the one flange and into the to-be-threaded holes of the other flange. They DO provide several short screws IF you wish to screw directly through each flange into your door, but you'll have to drill out the 4 holes in the one flange. P.S. lock feature is nice ... but on outside of your door. ... show more

  • As expected

This door was really simple to install. Didn’t need directions, it was pretty self explanatory if you’re handy. Installed in less than ten minutes. Keeps litter box out of sight and easily accessible to the cats. Would buy again

  • I bought both of those doors and use the front with the rotary lock and back from the other one.
Size: L- Inner size: 7.08"(W) x 7.48"(H) Color: Black
It looks good but I don’t lock it because my cat pushes the door open when it is locked. However my Houdini dismounted the lock from the door that caused $224 so it doesn’t work for me but can work for others.

  • Two happy cats
Size: L- Inner size: 7.08"(W) x 7.48"(H) Color: White
I installed into a spare piece of 3/4 inch plywood I had left over, and put it into a window which allows our 2 cats access as they wish into their cat-fenced play area. Looks great and the cats learned to use it very quickly.

  • Car door
Size: L- Inner size: 7.08"(W) x 7.48"(H) Color: White
This works well for outside cats. The only thing is I had to glue back on each side of the inside trim that keeps dirt and wind out. But there are 3 cats coming in and out and it took 3 months to come off. Not really a big deal I just glued back into place.

  • Make Sure You Don't Need the Lock Mechanism
Size: L- Inner size: 7.08"(W) x 7.48"(H) Color: White
We bought this for the lock mechanism. Sometimes we want cats in the basement; sometimes, we don't. We've been using it for six months. PROS: 1. It's an easy installation. 2. The locking mechanism is easy to figure out. Cats can either (1) enter and exit, (2) enter but not exit, (3) not enter but can exit, or (4) not enter or exit. CONS: 1. THE LOCKING MECHANISM IS NOT CAT-PROOF. My cats were able to run into the door while it was locked and the door would get knocked of the magnet and open. They were able to use their paws to work the slides and lock it, resulting in our oldest cat being locked in the basement without food or water for at least 24 hours, several hundred dollars spent at the vet getting her hydrated and treated, and the most guilt-ridden pet sitter ever. We warned her that our cats could use door knobs, but didn't know at that time that they could work the pet door locks. Our cats are not poly-dactyl, by the way--any cat could open this door. We have since seen our youngest cat locking the older cats in the basement using the sliders with her paw. I wish I was joking. 2. The weather stripping is garbage. It was pulled out by one of our cats while she was unlocking the door with her paw. BOTTOM LINE It's cheap and if you remove the locking mechanism so your devil cat can't lock the other cats in the basement, it's a nice little cat door. Just don't get it for the lock. I don't think my cats are smarter than other cats. I think the cat door is not as cat-tamper-proof as it needs to be. ... show more

  • Cat hacked it on day 2
Size: L- Inner size: 7.08"(W) x 7.48"(H) Color: White
Minus the install process, which you need some skill...a pencil, a drill, and a jigsaw, the overall product is sound. It comes down to your furry friends. I have three... different ages, sizes, and starts in life. The youngest was the most hesitant to go through, and the fatty just stared at your soul through the clear panel, and then we have the oldest wisest and biggest pita. With the intent to have this be a method to herd the cats into a room, I planned on having it locked going one direction. This was successful. Until the next morning when one of the cats was on the other side of the door. Then I watched her do it in front of me. With her little paw she grabs the corner and yanks the plastic door and then slides over the lock entirely. It didn't long, and although I'm proud of her intelligence, I now have a door that would shut and keep them out that is now just as good as leaving it open. She's already taught the youngest this trick, who is agile enough to then jump over the baby gate and take run of the rest of the house. I plan on flipping the cat door as a first test to see if that prevents these smart kitties... but ultimately I think I need to find a way to extend the locks to the corners. ... show more
