It keeps him at a safe distance from hot pans and busy feet, but he can still peek in and feel included, which I love. The quality is solid and sturdy without feeling bulky. It feels durable enough for daily use and doesn’t look cheap at all. I really appreciate how easy it is to install and take down—no tools, no hassle—which makes it super convenient if I need to move it to another doorway or space. The rubber bumpers are a big plus too; they protect my walls and work well even with molding. Functionality-wise, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The expandable design fits my doorway perfectly, the handle is comfortable to use, and it feels secure once it’s in place. Works! I bought a used in very good condition to save a few bucks. A broken plastic piece of the gates outer corner fell onto floor upon opening. Box was in good condition. I’m keeping anyway, its entegrity and functionality remain. I would buy again! NEW

I considered a 2 star rating, but since it technically does block the doorway, I gave it a 3. While it came without instructions it seemed like a no brainer. However, now that I've tried to use it, I want to throw it out the window! It is NOT easy to get it to slide for sizing, the only way I could get it to slide was to turn it sideways (short side in the air) and pull it. When I tried sliding it when horizontal it refused to budge, let alone slide smoothly! It definitely does not slide seamlessly as their video shows. I finally gave up and just set it in the doorway and hope it keeps wet paws out of my kitchen. The plastic is pretty flimsy, but not an issue, can't say if it opens easily because it is not locked in place. If it worked as it should it would keep my dogs out of the room I guess. Can't recommend.

Great little gate, we got this to keep the dog and cat from going upstairs. We also need access to the upstairs. gate moves super easy and is light. it is a perfect fit for what were doing. May not hold back a big dog that is determined, but easily separates our stairs.

It does what it says it does. But not the greatest at it. The gate is obviously plastic. But it's a cheap plastic. The handle doesn't operate very smoothly and gets caught on its own rails easily. Not very easy to open some times. It's actually easier if I push the gate off from the door way.
