Perfection! I looked and have not been able to find a large litter box anywhere and was making do with a smaller one. My two cats are both older (male and female, both fixed). They always liked to stick one leg up on the side of the pan but lately they've been missing the box every time which is so not acceptable. I was changing and laundering the cat box mat every day practically and having to clean the sides and bottom and under the rim which is just way beyond what I want to do. I ordered this pan based on the size and another reviewer who said that the cat wouldn't be able to get a leg up on the side which is true. The cats took to this box right away. It's very roomy. My male cat is big at over 10 pounds and he kind of filled up the previous box when he got inside. He has plenty of room in this box. The front is low enough for the cats to get in and out easily but the pan itself is deep. There really isn't any way for them to get their leg up on the side of the box. They have not had a single accident since I put it down and there is very little cat litter getting tracked outside the box. I use Target Up&Up scoopable cat litter which comes in a 20-pound jug. It easily holds the entire 20-pound jug of litter. On the plus side, even though it's big, it's not so enormous that it doesn't fit in the same place as the last one. It's just roomier all the way around. I like that it sort of contains the whole affair without a lid. My cats never took to having a cover over them. The box is also really easy to clean and nothing seems to stick to it so far. It's hard to tell from the picture but the low place where the cats go into the box is sort of a tabbed lip and when you're scooping the box, the bag tucks under the front lip pretty easily and stays open while you're scooping which is brilliant! I think the tab also discourages them from trying to put their leg up on that area although even that is really too high from them to accomplish it. It's a little hard to tell also from the picture but the back of the box is much higher than the front and the sides taper up. I imagine the cats feel like they're in an enclosure and it also prevents them from making a mess out the back side of the box. The color is neutral and looks pretty close to the picture. I will definitely will keep using this box.

My Cat's old box had to be replaced due to a hole in the bottom of the box. I ran to our nearest pet store and I could not find the same exact box I had owned. So, I tried to find the best box possible. As it turned out over the course of over a month or so. My cat managed to pee all over the end of the box which resulted in pee soaking through under his mat. Not to mention, that like all cats, my cat loves to shar his litter all over the place, in the efforts of making a perfect spot to do #2. Well with his current box the litter wound up all over the floor every time he did that. So every week, not only did I empty his box out, but I had to scrub the floor under his mat. And vacuum up all the litter. Plus sanitize his mat & the floor around it. It made changing his box out every week, more of a chore then what it should be. And of course I do clean out his box on a daily basis, as any other responsible cat lover ought to. But, I also change out the whole litter box on a weekly basis as well. Anyway, I got fed up with all of this extra work. I never had this problem with his old box. So I searched and searched on line & read many reviews. Then I ordered this Catit Cat Litter Pan. This product had many positive reviews and now I know why. It works!!! And I am so happy I own this now. Not only does his litter STAY in the box. But his butt stays in the box too. And now his pee stays there, so no more wiping up the floor. My cat is only 11 pounds. I suppose that maybe big for some people. But I guess his fat butt was too big for the old/new box. But in any event. I am one happy camper. This box is nice & roomy and is perfect for my needs. I don't care about the color change. It looks grey here but it comes to you in taupe. So be warned about that if your into more of the color you won't get gray, lol.. But, I was looking for function, not color. And this by far is the BEST litter box ever. We've recently downsized to a small apartment where the litter box shares our small bathroom. There's zero extra space for maneuvering so our terrific covered litter box just wasn't cutting it anymore*. My dread was having litter kicked all over the bathroom floor which I'd then track through the apartment. This Catit litter pan has a cool rim snap-on which sticks out into the box space a little bit - that rim makes a huge difference. It's been a week and I haven't seen any increase in litter on the floor around the box. The only 'negative' change we've experienced is him doing his business mostly against the sides and I don't think that's the fault of the box. My cat is on the small side (7.5 lb) and the box is a bit smaller than he's used to, but it's still plenty bigger than him so I don't see why he has to stick his butt up against the side like that. Seriously, guy, why are you sitting sideways? Whatever .... thankfully, the bottom and sides of the pan are smooth so running the pooper scooper along still gets everything up easily. Also I should mention, the design is clever with the way one end is lower than the other so the cat is inclined to use that end for exit rather than just jumping out on any of the other three sides. As we all know, it's a lot easier to keep the litter box area clean if you can control entry/exit. I give this item FIVE STARS for satisfying all my requirements and at an excellent price of under $15. *My cat has been used to using a large covered litter box with a lid that snapped on so tightly that you could pick up the litter-filled box and carry it from room to room. I've really liked using that box. However, to clean the covered box you unsnap it on one side and lean the top over to the other side to get it off ... so you need at least twice the floor space than what the box actually sits on. This was fine when we were in a large living space but no longer works for us.

Don't let this one pass you by. If your cat likes open boxes, this is the one!!! High sides, higher front, very excellent size and my older cat (15) can actually fit in it without the poop falling on the floor. No litter scattered all over when they dig and bury. Sturdy, and a good price. Packaging was good and delivery was very fast. Get it! Your cats will thank you. I felt the need to update my review. It's been only a few days since I put the litter box down. There hasn't been any litter on the outside of the box. This is not the norm with my cats. They both love the box. My older, larger cat especially. I know some people made review complaints in reference to the plastic being cheap. If that is the case, I will update again. One review was complaining about the cost. It's well worth the price!!! She indicated it was $11, increased to $22 and the price it is now. This litter box is much more than $11 or $22 bucks. Hello, it's 2022 where will you even find a good litter box for that price? The $11 will get you a disposable one. Keep up the great work. My cats are digging this dig!!!

Best cat box I've owned in 50 years of being a cat mommy. Easy to clean, less litter outside the box than any other open box I have used. I don't like covered boxes and neither do my cats so this is a workable solution. I use an Unscented multi-cat litter which is easy to scoop every morning and not an unpleasant task because new litters do not have the waste or perfume smells so an open cat box is win all-around. I also find that regular scooping means less litter is thrown. Yes, they do scatter some but the sides are high so the amount is reduced and I keep a litter mat in front of it. The box is large and 2 cats, with daily scooping, is workable for them and for me. I buy a roll of 40 small bags from the $1 store and have a heavy scoop so with years and years of experience to reach a solution, I've made it a 3 minute, non-stinky task.

I have a relatively tall kitty. He is 17 now and doesn't squat as much as he used to when he urinates. His previous litter box, the Litter Maid (which was a fabulous, yet expensive box) was just too short for him. That being said, his urine was escaping the low walls of the Litter Maid so a change was necessary. After much consideration and debate, I decided the measurements of this litter box were perfect for my boy. I purchased this box on sale but upon review, would pay full price for it. The low spot in the front allows him to enter without much effort. The rounded corners help keep it clean and clumping litter does not stick to the corners. The ledge around the top keeps him from throwing litter over the sides of the box and making a mess. The higher walls also keep my small dog from eating the cat's, um... shall we say, "granola bars". (I know, gross!) There is plenty of room inside the box for my cat to search and dig for his perfect spot. He is 16lbs and can easily turn around inside. It has a built in bag anchor in the front to which you can hook one handle of a disposable litter bag. It's designed to help hold bags open which is really helpful in scooping the cat litter. I appreciate this feature. I've also discovered that the litter scooper fits nicely inside the litter box by placing the handle in one of the notches in the front. My plastic scoop fits in place perfectly. This litter box is also nice and sturdy so I have no worries about ever having to replace it. I hope this helps in making your decision on which litter box your cat's needs. I was not paid or compensated in any way for this, my honest review.

Our kitty was 10 years old when we adopted her from the humane society in our area and she had been through a lot. We have had her for 2 years now and were afraid to change the style of her box because we want her to feel safe, but she needed a new one. She doesn't make a huge mess when doing her business, but the litter still gets kicked out. This box has been perfect! We love the raised sides that help with kicking litter out, our kitty Muffin has taken to it very well, and the color and esthetic are beautiful. Side note... She is a good kitty and has been very adaptable to our home and the doggies here. 🐱❤️
