This is definitely a step up from most of our cooking utensils. It is visually very attractive and the gold-tone handle definitely gives it an aura of "expensive." It arrived well packaged in a cloth sack within a sturdy box and accompanied by a nice instruction booklet, all of which suggest high quality. Most importantly, it functions very well for its intended purpose. We've done hash browns, which browned perfectly with about 25% less oil and slid easily off the pan. We've also prepared eggs several ways with just a dab of butter, and they too, easily slid out of the pan. Clean-up is a breeze. It's not a big issue, but we felt this pan looked a little small for an 8" skillet. We decided to measure and found that this pan has an interior diameter of slightly less than 8", whereas a similar pan from another manufacturer has in interior diameter of somewhat more than 8". The other pan is also slightly taller, giving it a bit higher capacity. This skillet is definitely premium priced, as is other Caraway brand kitchenware. I was reluctant to spend $85 on a pan-especially when I read a few reviews saying they don’t “hold up” that well. I got it during prime days for a discount and I’ve been using it for roughly 3 months and I’m obsessed. I follow the directions to a T and it looks new still. I never go above 5 for heat (on a 1-10 scale) and I hand wash it gently. I only use silicone utensils on it. It’s incredible, usually I’ll throw a dollop of butter on it or something but you literally don’t need too. I’ll fry eggs with NOTHING and they slide right out. Of course it’s a touch smoother with some butter but never in my life would I have previously dreamed of frying eggs without any product. Cooks evenly, works great on my induction stove. Nice and heavy, really well made product and it’s super nice looking-but the main reason I wanted this and what makes me the happiest is the lack of toxic chemicals! I’m glad I can cook my kids food without the addition of toxic pfoa and pfas Love this pan. Need to get more! ... show more

I am trying to spruce up my kitchen and getting rid of old pots, pans etc. This is the first time i bought something from Caraway - the only reason i purchased this is because it looked colorful and i want a new look with colors in my kitchen. I did not know what to expect. But i have been using this pan extensively (almost everyday) - for the past couple of months now. And despite the heavy use and cleaning - not a single scratch on this thing! No blackness around the edges, no smidges stuck on the bottom and it looks beautiful on the shelf! YUP, THE EGGS SLIDE AND SLIDE WITH JUST A DAB OF BUTTER IN THE PAN. NEVER STICKS. JUST KEEP THE HEAT ON MEDIUM LIKE IT SAYS. BEST PAN I'VE EVER OWNED. EVEN FRIED UP HOT DOGS IN IT, NO STICKING AND CLEAN-UP WAS A WHIZ! JUST USE A TEASPOON OF BUTTER OR OLIVE OIL JUST BEFORE DROPPING IN FOOD. SURE HOPE IT LASTS.     • Not worth the money.

UPDATE: they replaced the mini pan and I must admit that the new one works really well. I believe the one I originally bought was defective because the coating didn’t look like the rest of my set. It had glossy spots and those glossy spots where the only nonstick part of the mini pan. I gave the whole set a second chance and honestly they work better with kerrigold butter than they do with oil (I was using chosen foods avocado oil too). If you’re willing to change the way you cook and take the time to learn how to use these pans, they’re great. You just have to be PATIENT. Another thing to note is that you have to mess with the heat a little bit. I was using low medium heat at first, per the instructions, but that still ended up being “too hot” for these pans because of MY stove. Now I only use low heat and don’t have issues anymore. I’m a happy customer now. Thank you, Caraway. I’m definitely recommending you guys now. I bought this mini pan a long with the whole set and I really wanted to love them, I had them saved on my wishlist for a while. I’ve had the set for roughly 5 months and it’s the worst investment I’ve done. I followed the instructions on how to care for them and use them. For this mini pan I use the smaller burner but I still can’t even fry an egg without it getting stuck. I don’t go higher that low medium heat and I use a little bit of butter. Genuinely sad and disappointed. The only good thing in my opinion is that they clean easy for the most part and look gorgeous. ... show more

This pan is worth every dollar. Follow the directions (no scrubber pads, no dishwasher). Everything and I mean everything, slides right off. It’s so slippery that I figured out another way to flip eggs because they were slipping around so much that it was hard to get the spatula under them! Eggs and pancakes are a breeze. However i did notice significant heat transfer to the handle while making pancakes. About 1/3 of the way up the handle. Not like oh that’s a little warm.. like of you unintentionally grabbed there you’d get burned.
