  • Impressive Performance for Poster Printing
Style: Multi-Function Printer
Title: Impressive Performance for Poster Printing: Canon imagePROGRAF TC-20M Review The Canon imagePROGRAF TC-20M 24" Large Format printer has truly exceeded my expectations. As a shop owner, I needed a reliable printer to create vibrant and high-quality posters for my business. This printer has not only met but surpassed my needs. The image quality produced by the TC-20M is outstanding. The colors are vivid and true to life, making my posters eye-catching and attention-grabbing. The precision and detail in each print are remarkable, even on larger formats. Setting up the printer was a breeze, thanks to its user-friendly interface and intuitive controls. I was able to start printing my posters quickly without any hassle. The printer's reliability and consistency have made my printing process seamless and efficient. One of the standout features of the TC-20M is its versatility. It handles a wide range of media types and sizes, allowing me to experiment with different materials and create unique posters for my shop. Whether I'm printing on glossy paper or canvas, the results are always exceptional. Moreover, the printer's speed and efficiency have saved me valuable time, allowing me to focus on other aspects of my business. The TC-20M's high-speed printing capabilities ensure that I can meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my decision to invest in the Canon imagePROGRAF TC-20M. It has quickly become one of the best printers in my arsenal, consistently delivering professional-grade posters that exceed my expectations. If you're in the market for a large format printer, I highly recommend considering the TC-20M. It's a game-changer for any business owner or creative professional. Ink is indeed a consideration with the Canon imagePROGRAF TC-20M. While the quality of prints is exceptional, the cost of ink can add up, especially for large-scale printing projects. However, I'm actively researching and exploring various options to mitigate this expense. Whether it's through bulk purchasing, third-party ink suppliers, or ink-saving techniques, I'm committed to finding cost-effective solutions without compromising on print quality. Despite this minor drawback, the overall performance and reliability of the TC-20M make it a worthwhile investment for any business looking to produce professional-grade posters. I preserved the original ink bottles using a syringe, I refilled the original bottles with the Canon ink I had leftover from my edible printer. I intend to experiment with different ink options for those interested in saving on ink expenses. ... show more

  • Works just as I expected. Beautiful prints for a 4 color
Style: Single Function Printer
The media could not be loaded. I didn't have any paper to set it up with so I use craft paper (easel paper) to align the head. You can't align the machine without roll paper. This picture was printed on my first print using the same craft paper. Seems like it'll put out good quality posters. Will probably update this over time. Ink is pretty expensive even as a tank printer you're looking at $260 to fill all the tanks every time if you fill all 4. Paper options arent the best and Canon is always out of stock, if you want premium paper for posters. most good paper is "3 core. Also the printer cant exceed 4.3 inch diameter rolls a 5 inch roll will not fit this printer *Update. I now am running Canon paper and it prints beautiful. I would buy this again. Make sure you are changing your resolution and dpi accordingly. Large format it is important to have the proper settings or your prints will be pixelated 600 dpi 14440x21600 on a 24x36 600dpi x 24" = 14400 600dpi x 36" =21600 Use this formula based on you print size ... show more

  • Great entry plotter
Style: Single Function Printer
I really like my Canon TC-20. It gives me good clean prints and isn't too slow. The ink can be a little expensive, but it lasts pretty well. I've done several dozen sticker and poster runs on it now, and it is just starting to get low on the black starter inks. The attached picture is a draft poster on low quality paper to do a sizing mock-up and still turned out really well. It looks absolutely beautiful on high-quality paper. As a person who does a ton of stickers and more than a few posters, I'm glad I went this route. Being able to do roll paper has made my life must easier (and saved me a little money). Can recommend for a starter-level plotter for someone just starting their large print journey. I will continue to use this guy for a long time, even after I upgrade to a more commercial-grade printer. ... show more

  • Never Worked out of the box
Style: Multi-Function Printer
We had high expectations for this printer, but unfortunately, it proved to be a disappointment. Despite spending an hour unpacking it, loading ink, attempting to add paper, and navigating a lengthy start-up process, we encountered significant issues with paper loading. The printer failed to auto-load the paper correctly, even after multiple attempts. The process involves inserting the paper into a difficult-to-locate & not visible slot and waiting for a beep, indicating that it should auto-load. Instead, the printer made various movements and noises before displaying an error message, followed by a loud banging noise from the feed gears, ultimately leading to a complete lock-up. Repeated attempts to load the paper, each taking around 12 minute in each reload cycle, 2 hours later it did not resolve the issue. The support provided was unhelpful, as it required sending videos and pictures of the paper-loading process from different angles, seemingly to imply user error. The printer’s sensitivity and the complexity of the paper-loading process make it impractical for a busy office environment. It is not suitable for our needs due to its poor design and unreliable performance. ... show more

  • Prints posters great, photos not good at all
Style: Single Function Printer
The original ink runs out very fast since a bunch is used to prime the printer. I printed only about 8 posters and the ink was running out. Posters look great where you don't notice details and exact colors. Photos are way too dark and the detail isn't very good. It's fun to be able to print things so big. Ink is EXPENSIVE especially if you get the Canon ink at $56 per bottle (it uses 4 bottles total). I had trouble getting Microsoft WORD to print 24" wide documents. I used Libre Office Writer instead. Most any software you use gets confused because they don't seem to like roll paper. ... show more
