    • Excellent Printer
Style: New Model
We are absolutely loving this printer. We came from a typical inkjet but I wanted a laser printer for speed and quality. We did significant amounts of research and felt that for the price this offered everything we could ask for. That being said, this printer is super fast and the color is beautiful on everything. I was up and printing faster than it took me to get the printer out of the box (you’ll spend more time taking all of the protective tape off than you will setting it up!). I like that you can insert photo paper and not worry about it being bent and/or getting stuck. Having printing on both front and back is also a nice bonus. It does show up under Air Printers. However, it will not show up when the printer is offline… even when it’s in sleep/standby mode (not sure why but it doesn’t always exit standby mode). For everything this does I don’t think you can beat the price. Our only concern is the cost of replacement cartridges. I see that they are readily available but they are $$$. I haven’t had to replace them yet so we’ll have to see just how efficient it is when it comes to ink usage. Perhaps the one area that could use some improvement is the app. The app is missing some basic functionality that other companies have (like access to certain locations of documents and images). I have also had some trouble resizing the image within the app. I get around this by opening it up on an editor and resizing it, then saving a copy and using that to print. This works but it isn’t the most ideal way to accomplish what is otherwise a very basic task. Important: if you’re looking for a small printer, this is NOT the one for you. It has a similar footprint to a standard inkjet printer, but it’s much taller and perhaps a bit wider depth-wise. You will need a dedicated space for this one. ... show more

    • Get something Else This is just destroyed by it's connectivity issues and poor software and support.
Style: New Model
When it prints it is great. Good freaking luck staying connected to it or using their software. Total garbage. I need this printed now, OK, let's start the 30- 60 min process of seeing if the computer still sees it and the removing and re-adding it for 10th time. Need to scan something, let's use the software from 1997 for that. Details on what you are doing? Nope! Just wait until it is done and SEE if the right thing happened and then try it again! ... show more

    • Great printer - terrible WiFi
Style: New Model
This printer is great - as long as you don't need it to be connected to WiFi. The prints come out fast and crisp. The app makes scanning to the cloud easy. Set up was easy. It's large, but that's the nature of a laser printer with scanner. The issue is it cannot stay connected to WiFi. As soon as it goes to sleep, it's off the network - so you can't even wake it up by sending it a print. Even going over to the printer and manually waking it up is no good, it won't reconnect without a full reboot. Very inconvenient, but who wants to repackage and return a huge printer? I resolved the issue by getting another router node and positioning it next to the printer so it could be hard wired to the network. Now it works flawlessly, no reboots required. Bottom line - do not get this printer if you need it to be on WiFi, but if you can run a LAN connection it's a great printer for the price. ... show more

    • Great printer for home
Style: New Model
Our first home last printer has been great. You can print from an index card to regular paper. The black starter cartridge was used up pretty quickly but the color cartridges are still lasting. The app to set features if far more complicated than other brands. So far it's been more durable than the numerous HP printers from the past. ... show more

    • Expensive toner refills
Style: New Model
The printer works great and setup wasn't too awful difficult. I say that being someone who is used to working with technology but if tech isn't your thing then the printer may be a little tricky to get going. My only reason for the low rating is the price of toner. This thing takes 075 toner cartridges and they cost 100 bucks a piece. That means a 300 printer will cost 400 for new toner cartridges. I'll throw it in the trash and buy a new printer if it comes to that. ... show more

    • Nice
Style: New Model
I have always ordered HP but had to try something new. Took a while to receive it. It is much bigger than my ink jet printers. It took some time to actually locate right drivers. Had to go to canon.com to obtain the correct drivers. After installing, I of course loved the color as compared with ink jet. I just have to more selective on what I print as toner is costly. So far very satisfied. ... show more

    • Love My Laser Printer!!
Style: New Model
Review Image by Mtrman 63
Ink quality is amazing. Crisp, clear, bright color contrast. Set up, [other than it's a little heavy and awkward removing from the box] was fairly simple. Connection initially kept dropping after going into sleep status. However, made a manual IP adjustment and that issue no longer happens. I have wanted a Laser Printer for years, but always went the cheaper route by getting an inkjet printer. So glad I splurged on this Canon printer. So far, it has met/exceeded my hope for a great printing printer. ... show more
