The product videos demonstrate this unit in less than 2” of snow, and there’s a good reason for that. While it says the “ideal” snow depth is 6”, it really struggles with anything over 2”. In roughly 4-6” of powdery snow, it was a struggle to move the unit forward and I had to do so at a snail’s pace to avoid bogging it down. Since this is a single stage machine, if you bog it down at all the throwing distance drops dramatically. It bogs down easily, especially if you attempt to clear deep snow (the 12” figure in the product images is the height of the opening on the front of the unit, not the depth of snow it can reasonably blow), and produces a pungent burnt-electronics smell if bogged down at all, which makes me concerned for the longevity of the product. It also struggled with any chunks in the snow. The only redeeming quality of this unit is it is very light and can easily be picked up and moved around. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for.

Delivered on time, easy to assemble! I did not expect a real high end for the price but this guy really performed! 7" heavy wet snow and it did a good job. Cord management is kind of a pain but one u get a rhythm it's not to bad. It does take some muscle to get thru the heavy wet snow but in all a good machine for the money!

The product has about 5-6 feet throwing distance. So basically the snow coming back to where from or just all over your face. Did not get a chance to use within return window. Have to keep it. Not recommend it.
