I did a lot of scrolling trying to find the best set that I hope would last some time. I decided on this set. When it arrived, there was a small dent on the rim of the lid on the larger pan. This, I didn't mind so much since I almost never use the lids when I cook. They are a bit on the heavy side, so if you have weak wrists, this probably would not the best for you. The long handles do stay cool, however, the shorter loop handles do get incredibly hot, you'd need oven mitts to handle them. The handles on the lids get quite hot as well. I've mostly gotten used to it but this is the most accurate description that I can think of. These are immensely easy to clean. I wash them with soap and water and wipe them down with a papertowl. These pans are......AMAZING!! The variety I got are all pots and pans I use frequently. Love having the glass lids so I can see my food inside without having to take the lid off. They do take a little longer to warm up and for the food to begin cooking, but this is because the material they're made of takes that heat and evenly distributes it throughout the pan and then retain steady temperature cooking your food just right. The non-stick surface is so nice to have and unlike any other "non-stick" coated pan I've ever used. I made homemade chili 2 days a go and then we had it for dinners 2 nights in a row. After dinner the first night I just waited for the chili to cool, put the lid on the pot and just put it on the top rack in the fridge so that it'd be quick to grab and throw right back on the stove to warm for dinner that following night. By the end of night 2, all the chili was gone but there was a pretty thick layer of food goop all along the inside of the pan. Imagine my surprise when all it took was hot water from the hand sprayer from the sink to remove every single little bit of that goop. I didn't even have to use soap! I was so shocked I grabbed the sponge and a squirt of soap and bubbled it all up anyway and gave it a little swish swash anyway. Why did I not buy these sooner?!?! ... show more

This is a great set of pans. Very heavy duty thick walled, sturdy non-stick coating, and all but 1 pan comes with a lid. The sturdiness and heft of these pans is noticeable. Made quesadillas with no oil or butter and they slid right out of pan with nothing sticking to the bottom, including melted cheese. All of the pans in this 11-piece set are a great size, nothing is tiny like a lot of sets include. I never have a use for a 1 qt saucepan or an 8" fry pan. Even the stockpot is a nice size at 8qt. My only complaint is that the manufacturer does not package the items very well in the box. As many others have commented, pieces come damaged in some form. As expected, the items are all stacked together, but instead of protecting each piece with a piece of foam or thick cardboard, the pans and lids were just inside plastic bags. So, over time the scratch each other. The 2 largest (8qt and 12") have some damage around the rims where pieces rubbed. Nothing is dented or horribly scratched so I am keeping them. Just wish there was better attention to detail so that the pieces arrived in great shape for this kind of money. ... show more

Update 9/9/24 These pans are worth every penny. We use them everyday and they still look brand new. They are a joy to cook with and clean up is a snap. Unparalleled nonstick cooking.. I can't recommend them enough! Bought this set after a different pan was ruined cooking eggs on medium high heat. I love the fact I can use metal utensils. Nothing sticks so far after a month of use. The lids are very sturdy. It was a little more money than I wanted to spend, but after a month of use, I would say they are definitely worth it. ... show more

Calphalon claims these pots and pans are metal utensil safe. I never used metal utensils in them, but the non-stick coating comes off. The lids hold water and gunk that then comes out in your food when you're cooking. I contacted support, jumped through 3 days' worth of hoops and returned them. They sent me a set of smaller pots and pans with less lids than I returned. The new lids do exactly the same thing. I would have been better off keeping the original set. For the price this cookware should be flawless! DO NOT BUY!!! ... show more

I've never tried this brand but heard great reviews about it. Love the set, nice heavy sturdy quality! Nothing sticks to it, and heats up evenly. Couple scratches on the bottom of one of the pans but nothing to worry about.
