    • Calphalon "Premium" = the best, better than "classic"
We had a set of the "classic" Calphalon frying pans for 10-15 years. We were happy with them and the pans never warped, but eventually the coating started looking rough with pretty frequent use. Now having ordered and used the "premium" set, we are even more satisfied. The coating and quality seems superb. They are absolutely non-stick. IF a new set is ever needed, no need to do an extensive research, but to get a new set. It is bit a budget breaker to invest every 10-12 years if needed. Worth of every penny. The shape of these is a tiny bit different than in the old set, but like this shape better. In the old one e.g. 4 hamburger patties were a little bit difficult to fit, but they fit fine now. (The size of the old big pan and the new are the same, 12 inch.) We have a regular electric stove and hand wash pans with a plastic brush. We do recommend these pans. We purchased these in order to replace a few aging pans. We received two other nice high dollars pans from our wedding but still needed a 10 and a 12 to have a new set. We didn't buy the same kind that we got as gifts because they were pricey. So, i found these and figured we would give them a shot. I'm glad we got these because they are solid pans. They are actually just as thick and sturdy as the wedding gifts ones and look really similar. Non stick is holding up nicely and we have no complaints. ... show more

    • Just what I was looking for
These pans have been used everyday since they arrived. Non-stick is soooooo wonderful. I never even have to add oil or butter to the pan, just cook and food comes right out. Needless to say cleaning is a dream. I have read other reviews, so I don't put them in the dishwasher. And I don't need to because with a drop of dish soap and a quick swipe of a wet rag they're clean and ready to go again. I have cut a piece of round cardboard to put between them when I store them in the cupboard, just to keep the metal bottoms from touching the inside of the pan below. Another thing I like is that they are a nice weight, don't feel cheap or flimsy. ... show more

    • Design change in sauté pans
I have used Calphalon sauté pans for MANY years and enjoy cooking with them. This new set has a different design to the pan which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. You still have the same high quality pan, but I find the steeper sides, especially on my largest pan, to be a detriment to flipping my food while I cook. If you cook a lot, you probably use this technique rather than using a utensil to move food around. Other than that, still a good product. ... show more

    • Good nonstick pan
I purchased hard anodized cookware about 20 years ago. After constant use and sometimes abuse they started to loose some of the nonstick properties. The brand is no longer available and my daughter recommended Calphalon. I am very happy with the pans but cannot attest to the durability as I have not had them long. I feel they are a good value. Although they are described as being dishwasher safe I never put good nonstick pans in the dishwasher. They are so easy to clean a quick hand washing is all that is necessary. Have used this brand for years and they never disappoint. Sturdy pan and provides a lot of room. Do not use cooking sprays! Scratch resistant and use only silicone utensils to cook with will provide you years of service!
